The boots are beautiful, supple leather. The extra lacing in the back allows for expanding the calf area. Unfortunately, my calves are still a little too big, but the boots are "the bomb".

Beautiful and comfy. My calves are very wide and so the boot fits me differently than in the picture. The elastic strips stretch to two inches up top, but it still looks great. I modified mine by having the heel knocked down slightly and the sole rubbered.

I bought these boots to wear with skirts because I thought they\'d look great, and they do. They are just gorgeous. They haven\'t been as comfortable as I\'d hoped though. When I first wore them, I was pleased that they fit my calves but by the end of the first day wearing them, the skin around the zipper was sore and bruised. My feet have been a little sore in them too, but I am not sued to high heals so I would probably attribute this problem to that. I am hoping that as they I wear them more, they will get more comfortable. They look so good, I\'m willing to work through the early discomfort!

O.M.G! THEY FIT!
Just fits my 16 inch calves, and my circulation isn't getting cut off! On my 28 inch inseam, the top of the boot comes to about an inch under the bottom of my kneecap. I'll wear these with skirts or cropped pants. If your calves are smaller than 16 inches, these should accomodate jeans easily due to the elastic and gore in the back. And it's like someone finally read my mind: No buckles, no bows, just low key elastic detail that looks like lacing from afar. Good leather (as usual with Sudini), sensible heel, the toe isn't pointy-pointy but that's alright. They're well proportioned and well made. And Zappos? I hesitate to buy shoes anywhere else on the web.
