Great shoe/boot. Feels like a shoe, but wears like a boot. Just got them today and already wearing them with lots of positive comments from people. As always, Zappos is the most incredible company to order from. Thanks again Zappos.

These take some breaking in (I have high arches, so they pinched a bit at first on top of the instep), but they're worth it! Timberland leather is the softest around. Most important thing to remember is that Timberlands run huge. I'm usually a 9.5 and I wear these in an 8. Great soft rubber soles feel like sneakers. Color is a bit lighter than it appears on screen here, but nice. Weathers quickly, in a good way.

These boots have more far style than your average Chelseas, are well made in a thick but pliable leather, and seem to hold up well. But beware: they are hugely oversized, long and narrow. I normally wear an 8.5, but needed a 7.5W in these. Holding them up to my other boots, the 7.5 is the same length as most of my 8.5s. Size notwithstanding, these are great boots once you get the ones that fit your feet. Timberland needs to fix the sizing, and move forward with the Earthkeepers series.

The boots are well crafted with quality fit & materials. Timberland has built the boot under their "Earthkeeper" insignia which is great, they\'re actually trying to track the environment impact of the products they manufacture, this particular boot scores rather low, but at least its a start. The sole is made from recycled material and I believe the tanning process of the leather is less toxic. The boots do not have a steel shank, and on outdoor walks your foot may become a little fatigued as it flexes and transfers ground variation, but the inner sole is well padded and makes this boot very comfortable for city or indoor ware. The boot size runs a full size larger than expected, I nearly always wear a size 9 1/2 and this boot turns out to be a perfect fit at 8 1/2. \r\n\r\nOverall I\'m impressed with both the comfort and style of the boot, the only gripe I have is that the removable inner sole is not leather but vinyl, reducing breathability. At this price I\'d expect better. \r\n\r\nOne more thing of note: I ordered these boots from Zappos on a Thursday evening and somehow they arrived at my door step the very next day, a matter of hours latter. How\'s it possible!
