These are the greatest shoes when it comes to comfort. I teach all day on concrete and they give me a lot of cushioning. This probably is the 4th pair I've had. They were the 992s originally. I've tried to skimp by ordering other NB models because these are a bit pricey, but have been disappointed by them when it comes to comfort. The style is a bit clunky, but it seems you need the fat heel for great cushioning. I also have wide feet so I can order them in D width which is almost impossible to find in stores. As usual, Zappos' service was spectacular and they came in 2 days!

I am very pleased with the fit and comfort of this shoe. I do a lot of walking, almost every day and work out at local gym several days a week. It is a shoe that I can put on and immediately get active.

I'm a big fan of New Balance sneakers for working out & everyday walking. The 993 replaced my old favorite, the 992, & is just as comfortable & supportive. This sneaker also easily accepts an orthotic.

I fluctuate between a New Balance product and a Saucony. I have sensitive feet (bunion on left big toe) and have to accommodate for occasional pain. This New Balance 993 has worked for me, when on a treadmill for long period of time or if I choose to walk briskly through large park (4 mile circumference) in my neighborhood. If you want flexible room around sensitive spot(s) on feet, try this shoe. Good balance, cushion, flexibility.

I have worn New Balance for years now, and these are without doubt the best ones I've had. I work for a big box store and walk up to five miles per day, on concrete floors. My legs don't hurt, and my feet feel like I'm walking on air! I would not hesitate to recommend these shoes; in fact, I do every day because I get so many compliments on them.

I received great help in selecting a sneaker that would help with a torn tendon and low arches. The sneaker really works. Customer service was great. We weren't sure about the size, so we actually ordered in a larger size than I needed. I was able to use the post office to return the sneakers (because this was the easiest way of the choices available) free of charge and got the right size the next day. They didn't charge me again and refund. If the original sneakers were back to them in about 2 weeks, they just made the exchange. I did not have to deal with a lot of paper work. This company really understands "customer service." I will continue to deal with them.

Zappos service was terrific! I had to return a pair of shoes because I didn't like the style, and was able to replace them with no problem. They were helpful and quick! And I love the shoes.

Great shoes, comfy & stylish. The only thing that was not in the description was that the shoe laces were blue. In the picture the laces look grey but they are rally a blueish-gray color.\r\n

Like these gray athletic shoes; hate the white shoelaces. The New Balance WR993 shoe is very comfortable for walking; however, the nice gray color is spoiled by the flat, white shoelaces. So far I haven't been able to locate any grey, round laces in the 48" length and had to settle for white, but at least I found round ones. New Balance runs small and I ordered a full size larger.

Shoes fit great, look good and were comfortable from the very beginning. I am so glad that Zappos has started carrying some larger sizes in narrows. I have found New Balance to run a bit short, so offering them in a 13 AA fit my usually 12AA foot just fine. And as usual, I got excellent service from Zappos with the shoes arriving the very next day! Thanks for being a reliable place for me to find shoes for my hard-to-fit foot.

I try to get something "pink" in October each year and this New Balance shoe fit the bill. They are fit well, have some arch support and are pink. I have people stopping me when I walk asking where I got them and I say Zappos. Most know the site, but some did not and hopefully you have some new customers. Think Pink.

These shoes are similar to the classic 992\'s that have been a favorite for years, however these 993\'s are cut narrower in the toe box so they crowd my toes together a good deal and caused some pain and breaking in time that the 992\'s never did, at all. Otherwise they are well cushioned and good for mild pronators.

Great fit. New Balance's width sizing provides the fit and comfort few if any other manufacturers can match. I have been buying New Balance for years and am extremely pleased not only with the fit and comfort, but also the durability of the 990 series.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, so I keep buying new pairs when the old ones wear out. I have two sets, and wear them on alternate days. They provide excellent cushioning, a comfortable fit, and work well with my orthotic inserts. Zappos\' incredible customer service makes online ordering a pleasure.

I bought the New Balance Pink Ribbon WR993 for my 10 year old step-daughter. Yes, they are expensive shoes for a little kid, but her mother buys her inexpensive shoes, and they fall apart quickly. New Balance has always fit her (and me) well. Pink is her color, and I also have recently lost a very dear friend to breast cancer, so it was an easy decision to buy the shoes. She loves them! She says they are very comfortable. She loves the way they look, and I know they are well made. She'll outgrow them before she wears them out.

I love the gray color but I agree with another reviewer who thought the laces should be gray as well. This is a really comfortable shoe, but I do need an orthotic with it because the arch support is not great. These shoes are nice and lightweight.

A great looking shoe that is true to size (for me anyway). It's a very attractive, comfortable shoe that looks great with anything. I get tired of those crazy-colored, busy-looking running shoes. This one is so comfortable and supportive.

These shoes are fantastic. I had wasted a lot of time looking for work shoes on my own. Then I remembered Zappos. I called their shoe consultant and told them I work 8 hours a day running on cement floors. My feet turned in so my knees hurt. I was prone to plantar trouble and the bottom of my feet hurt by the end of my shift. We discussed some other issues I had, the consultant picked these shoes out for me, and bingo, they are the ones. Thank you Zappos.

These are the best shoes ever! I have so many foot problems, and thought I'd found another shoe that helped, but they only lasted about a month, and they hurt my feet. I have purchased 3 pairs of these over time, and wore them to Disney World, and was able to walk all day for several days, and would never have been able to if not for these shoes.

First, I have to say these are the only sneakers I wear. The NB WR993 is comfortable all day long. I wear them for walking, workout, traveling, etc. Thus for comfort, five stars. For style, only three stars, because this model comes in five colors, but only boring gray and white/blue in the 2E width. Wake up, New Balance! We 2E'ers deserve stylish sneakers, too!

I have worn this NB sneaker for a few years now and it is one of the most comfortable sneakers I have ever worn. I find it has excellent arch support and I wear them to work for long 12 hour shifts. They make walking around the city a pleasure.

I called yesterday to exchange sneakers for a larger size, and late last night ordered some girly shoes, and this morning BOTH the sneakers and the shoes were at my door! I am stunned! Today I called a different place to order a specialty item (after checking Zappos site for something similar first, of course) and there is just no comparison whatsoever.
