I purchased these clogs because I have a particularly high instep. Most clogs end up causing pain on the tops of my feet; any swelling during the course of the day becomes unbearable. The elastic gores in these clogs do help to alleviate the tightness. After several wearings, I've broken them in enough to be comfortable. If I had the choice, however, I'd have eliminated the elastic gore altogether and just have the velcro strap for adjusting the instep.

These clogs are perfect for people with high insteps, because of the adjustable velcro tab. I've had the brown ones for 2 years, but couldn't find black ones 'til now. I wear 39 in the brown, but needed 40 in the black. It's the same shoe, so order 2 sizes to see what fits. These shoes are so great, I don't wear anything else! I'm a nurse, so comfy shoes are a must. And I love the stylish look & get compliments all the time. Thanks Zappos!

These are my new "happy" shoes! I can only wear Danskos, and now, this brand, Sanita. They are incredibly comfortable, and true to size. I have wide feet and an impaired gait due to a leg fracture. These shoes allow me to walk comfortably ALL day, and my feet are not aching once they are off. Is is such a relief to be so comfortable. The toe box is generous and the arch support good. The velcro strap at the side offers more style than adjustment, but can tighten the top slightly. I love the color and shading--they are really lovely. They look great with jeans, of course, but are just as nice with dressier pants and scrubs. I wore them yesterday with dark brown tights/skirt--got compliments on the shoes. Nice, nice, nice. Like I said, "happy shoes\'!
