I enjoy these shoes a lot. They are pretty comfortable and weren't too expensive. However, they were definitely bigger than typical for their size. I usually wear a size 12, but I returned my 12s for 11.5 and I could honestly fit better into an 11 I think. One other thing I would say is that the customer service for my return at Zappos was amazing.

I bought these shoes about a month ago because they looked amazing. They took about 4 days to get here with standard shipping on Zappos. So I started skating these and immediately fell in love. These Vox are probably one of the best skate shoes ever made other than Vans half cabs. Support Vox. A+

These are great shoes, my son loves them. The experience with Zappos was also very good. We received the shoes with in a couple of days!! After shopping for several hours at the mall without success, we ordered these shoes in just a few minutes. Great service!!

I bought these for my nine year old son. Great skate shoes, not so great for regular wear; he says they are not good for running in gym class or on the playground- which makes sense since they are flat and a little heavier than regular sneakers- but he has been able to work on his ollie- a great skate shoe.\r\n\r\n

This shoe is absolutely beautiful, especially in true blue. It looks good with every pair of jeans and shorts that I have. I wear a size 12 and there's a little space left at the tip for some toe breathing room. The only complaint about this great shoe is the padding; there just isn't enough. You'll feel every smack to the pavement on your board, especially after some LDs or stairs. But the look almost outweighs the discomfort. Overall great shoe, and Zappos gave me free overnight shipping! I got these beauties in two days! Thanks Zappos!

The Vox Trooper (Relief) is the best skate shoe IMO. Complete comfort with a great price, but definitely buy a 1/2 size smaller than you would normally to get a good fit.

After going to numerous snowboard shops and trying on countless pairs of boots, these were undeniably THE most comfortable boots I've ever worn. I have a wide foot and a pretty high arch, so comfortable shoes are always a problem, and many other boots had a lot of pressure points for me, but these fit like a glove! The purple ones are a bit of an eye sore, but the snake skin and black ones are super cute! I'd recommend these to anyone!

This shoe looks a bit bigger than it actually is, and I noticed that it was lacking a bit of toe space at first, but the shoe has since stretched out enough to stay comfortable and fit right. I haven't been skating in them much yet, but it doesn't feel like they have as much grip as other vulcanized shoes. As far as I know, the white troopers are made of synthetic leather for those of you looking to avoid the suede or nubuck.

Great looking, nice feel, but get a size smaller!
I really like the look of this shoe. I should have listened to some of the other reviews that said to go a half a size smaller than normal. I normally wear a 13, in Pumas and Adidas and most formal shoes, and since they don't carry a 12 1/2 in the Vox, I decided to go for the 13's at first. They were way too big. Since I really liked the look I figured why not try a full size down, with the 12's. And whaddya know. They're just right. This may vary with the smaller sizes, where maybe just a half size down will do, but for my size it was a full step down.

Vox Trooper -
This shoe is good if it is the new version. The old version, with absolutely no padding, will break your feet if you try to skate them. If you buy these make sure they have new thicker insole, and the blue gel circle under the insole. Good for walking, very flexible vulk sole. Since they’re vulk, they will run big so get a half a size smaller, they will stretch out.

These shoes skate great and don't wear out too fast. Be sure to buy them small, about a half size for them to fit. Lastly the heel cushioning is top notch.

This is a pretty good shoe. However they do not have very much padding...at all. I wore these doing a seven stair, but if you are gonna bail a lot your feet are gonna hurt like hell. When I did an eight I had to use my friend’s shoes, because the Troopers did not have enough padding. For ledges, banks and flat ground these shoes are awesome. Great grip and board feel. The laces don't rip that fast if you use the lace protectors. As for looks, these shoes are awesome. This shoe gets you babes.

I’ve been skating Vox since they came out; had the Strubing Hewitt’s and the Troopers. I love them all; the Trooper was my favorite. I skate street more than pools; most comfortable shoe I’ve used. Yeah they were down in about two or three weeks but they have like 4 layers and don’t get a hole in them for months. If you ask me best money I’ve spent.

Great skate shoe -
Nice shoes. I have the dreamland edition, and they're great. Nice soles - good combination of grip and durability. Insoles not quite as soft as Vans, but still very comfortable. This is the first pair of skate shoes I've purchased recently that are NOT Vans. VOX reminds me of Vans before they were "trendy."

Great shoes. They are the first skate shoes I’ve ever had that aren't Vans. They fit perfectly and I really didn't have to break them in. I bought blue, I’m getting some black.

Awesome Shoe!
This is by far the best skate shoe I have ever owned. It trumps Lakai, Emerica, DC, DVS, Etnies, Ipath, and Nike SB. The grip is amazing. It is pretty cool looking too.

Vox trooper review -
I really like this shoe! I've purchased this shoe before elsewhere and loved it so much that I needed to get more pairs. I was just having problems finding them till i checked here. That's why I bought 2 pairs!! If you like a good gum sole and comfortable skate shoe, then the trooper is what you need to get.
