Stylish shoe -
Bought this shoe and loved it but as a senior citizen with a narrow instep found it difficult to get the straps tight enough. Also ordered the Ecco Rise 2 step which had better arch support, wider straps albeit, a more costly shoe. However, the increased support of the Ecco rise is worth the price.

Great shoes, wonderful fit. I typically wear a 6 - 6 1/2 (E37) and this was true to size, if perhaps just a tiny bit large. But I will be wearing socks with this shoe, so that is a good thing! Very attractive shoe, and very comfortable as well. I wanted something to wear with jeans/khakis without being heavy and this shoe "fits the bill"!

On the fence -
The shoe narrows at the front, so I am not sure these are comfortable shoes. My toes hurt after a few hours, but I am waiting to see if it is just an "adjustment."

Immediate Comfort -
What a comfortable shoe! I was looking for a dressier pair of shoes to wear in the evenings while traveling overseas - lots of walking on cobblestone streets. These shoes look great with black slacks or jeans. I was hoping for a snazzier look, but this shoe is comfortable without looking like a boxy pair of walking shoes. The straps also allow some flexibility when my feet swell which they often do on airplanes. It is also a very lightweight shoe - much appreciated when dragging my luggage (or my feet) around on vacation. I have already worn them several times in preparation for my upcoming trip and find I love them so much I may order another pair. Ecco is my favorite brand of comfortable shoe - they last for years and my feet are always happy.

At last!
I don't know how many pairs of black dress shoes I've ordered from Zappos and had to return because my feet are so unbelievably fussy. But I won't be returning these! They're just dressy enough to wear with my suit, and they're comfy enough that I think my feet will survive the various conferences I have to go to this year. Thank you, Zappos, for having such a great selection and such great customer service. I never thought I could shop for shoes online, but with Zappos return policy, I can try on as many pairs as needed to find the one my feet can actually stand.

Sizing Issue -
Maybe the Danes have smaller feet, but for this shoe a European size of 41 does not equate to a USA size of 10. I had to order the size 42 to get a comfortable fit, the 41 was just too short. It's a good shoe otherwise.

The shoe really fits like an athletic shoe -
This shoe is sized with 2 sizes and actually fits like the larger size. I normally wear a 9 but in athletic shoes I sometimes take a 9.5. The size 40 is large for me but the 39 was a bit short so I wear heavy socks and it's comfortable. I am going to wear these shoes to work out!
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Paul Green fits better but is more expensive

Fantastic shoe. It is comfortable with enough style to wear at work unless you need real heels.

 |  | I have told friends and family about Zappos and it was just because the service has been wonderful. As a 63 year old, I recall the super service given in the old department stores. I mourned the loss of that quality service as stores cut back, closed, went mall, outlet, superstore, online.
