I bought these as an upgrade from some previous Merrells (which lasted me 3 years, through many hikes, backpacking trips, and outdoor work). The Spins are awesome because they are light shoes, but still have the comfort and support that Merrell is known for. These are meant to be trail runners, but they also are great to wear around the city. I recommend this shoe if you have an active lifestyle!

This is my second pair of Merrell Spins. The other ones were the no lace and they were extremely comfortable. I decided to go with the lace ones just to see if there would be a difference. The only difference is the ease of being able to slide my foot into the shoe. The comfort and support are amazing! I will continue to purchase Merrells for all activities.

I\'m training for a 50k trail race. These are my main shoes I\'m using for my trail runs. Typically 5-12 miles. I like these because the heel isn\'t built up really high. I went up a size. They are roomy and comfortable. They are heavy and soak in water when I cross creeks, but are still useable. The shoe laces come undone unless I double knot them. They seem like they will last forever. I like to run in racing flats. These shoes aren\'t racing flats, but they aren\'t annoyingly bulky. They grip well. I have slipped a bit on wet stones.
