These slippers are great. I compared them to the Ugg scuff and mocassin (which cost a lot more) and decided to keep the Bearpaw because it was overall the better value and more comfortable to boot! The quality and construction are top notch, the suede and shearling lining are excellent and the footbed support is firm. Although some reviewers critisized the black shearling for rubbing off on their feet, I haven\'t had any problems at all and I wear them barefoot. They are a little snug in the toe, but I like that and they run a little short in average size length, but if you get the right size their great. They are a little boxy looking in the toe which is why I rate their style a 4, but their comfort is a 5.

Great slipper. However, as stated in other reviews, do not order the Black ones if you dislike having dye on your toes. Zappos graciously replaced the black pair I ordered with a pair of the Chestnut color that has a neutral lining. Zappos is the best, period!

Why would a company possibly go to the trouble of putting in real sheepskin for comfort, and then shove the tag inside that lovely lining so that it's scratching my foot every time I walk!?

These slippers are very comfortable. If you get the black ones, there will be some color residue left on the top of your foot so WASH before wearing - especially if you have light color sheets! For this price, I was surprised that this was even an issue, but it is.

Black House Slippers -
These feel great; however the black dye of the fleece lining came off on the tops of my feet. I didn't notice any dye on my feet bottoms, just the tops. These were to replace my 4 yr. old UGG Scuffs which I wore around (& outside) the house A LOT. The Alden is a snugger fit, but for slip-ons that's ok. Helps keep them on.
