Simply, the shoes are exactly as advertised. The initial size was a bit too small (I wear 11.5 in another Rockport 3 hole tie loafer, but I needed size 12 for these, very tight with 11.5 but perfect in 12). The workmanship is excellent, very well made sturdy and kind of industrial dressy. Great shoes! The procedure of sending the first pair back was extremely easy and free, and unbelievably fast. This is the best way to buy shoes for a busy non-shopper like me. Great selection, very fast and easy service.

Sturdy yet flexible. I was looking for something to wear to my office (business casual attire) but could also be worn with blue jeans. These fit the bill.\r\n\r\nI tend to wear down the outside corner of the heel first and I\'m starting to see a little wear on these already.

Overall, these are okay. It took several days to break them in; they were very stiff at first, especially in the heel. And they're tight around the top of my feet, but not uncomfortably so. I imagine they'll get more and more comfortable if I wear them longer.

Very uncomfortable. The upper digs into my toes when the shoe bends with a step. I thought it might soften up with time, but it hasn\'t, and now I may be stuck with them.

An excellent shoe, good fit and style. I find it\'s very versatile and goes great with jeans and khakis. The Charlesview has terrific Rockport comfort and required no break-in period for me. Very easy to wear, I highly recommend.

A+ Thanks to Rockport for coming out with this shoe. It is so nice to have a casual/rugged/waterproof shoe without such a square toe like other Rockports. These are very comfortable and fit my feet great. I love the look and feel. Thanks to Zappos for tremendous service. You are the only place I ever buy shoes!

This is a pretty comfortable shoe overall and I like the look; dressy enough for work, but casual enough for khakis or even jeans; but my one complaint is that they tend to rub on the back of my ankle. If I had to walk very far in these, I'm sure I'd end up with blisters on the backs of my ankles. Not sure if it's the height or shape of the shoe collar, lack of adequate padding, or both. It surprised me because I have some Rockport walking shoes that I've never had any discomfort with at all. Makes me a little hesitant to take a chance on ordering shoe styles that I haven't tried on first.

 |  | Can I just say, I have always hated shopping for shoes until I stumbled upon Zappos. Zappos has changed the way I shoe shop. Since discovering Zappos, it is the only place I shoe shop. No more dragging from store to store to find the right shoes and the right size. I love Zappos! I have ordered dress shoes, boots and casual shoes from Zappos. On occasions I have had to return shoes because they just were not what I wanted; either they did not feel right or they were not the look I wanted. The return policy is so easy and Zappos does not make you feel guilty for returns! P.S. My husband even shops from Zappos now. He cannot believe how great the customer service is. We love you Zappos!
