I wasn\\\'t expecting to find anything that would go with either black or brown and be a good walking shoe as well as an attractive one when I checked out the Seibels, but there Cora was, and it\\\\\\\'s perfect. The velcro is helpful because the shoe seems to run a little large. It may be wise to order a smaller size. Seibels are worth the money because they last and they are the kind of shoe smart Europeans wear - - clunky and sturdy and full or attitude. They are also a blessing in an area where there\\\\\\\'s lots of snow and ice: the soles are like those of good walking boots.

I love that these are black and brown and comfortable but spiffy. I'm taking them on a trip to D.C. and I need them to be versatile. My husband thinks they are generic Mary Janes and uninteresting (read: not high heels) and both grown-up daughters called them "Catholic schoolgirl shoes!" So I'll have to be careful about what I wear with them.

This shoe is a huge disappointment and here's why: For the very high price this shoe should have half sizes. I loved the style and look of this shoe and tried on the 37 and 38 at Dillards. I usually wear a 7 and 1/2, but this shoe combines the half sizes with the whole size leaving only one size. My toes touched the front of the size 37 shoe and my heels slipped out on the 38s. So as much as I want these shoes and they are perfect for what I need, I cannot buy a pair of shoes at this price that do not fit.

This shoe is the perfect marriage of style and comfort. I just spent a long weekend in NYC and they perfectly transisitioned from walking the stairs of the Statue of Liberty to dressing up for a Broadway show.

A well-made shoe; very attractive if you like a slightly funky look. It can be dressed up or down. The footbed is very supportive and cushiony. However, if you have a Morton's toe like I do (second toe longer than big toe), you may find that the toe box has a shape that doesn't accommodate your toes very well, especially because my foot tends to slip forward in downhill walking.

I was recently diagnosed with post-tib tendinitis in my left foot. I bought these shoes in the black/brown combo to wear to work. The smooth leather and feminine shape is somewhat casual, but acceptable with a business suit. I'm very happy with the support this shoe provides. Note that the insole is not removable, but I've found that it's so supportive that I don't need to put an orthotic in anyway. Note also that the shoe runs a size too small. I normally take a size 40, but had to go with the 41 in this shoe.

These are nice casual shoes. The insole is cushy and very comfortable. The strap was initially a little tight on me but that resolved after wearing for a day. I have them in the brown/black combo and in hindsight would probably get them in the brown only. They work well with pants and fit a little large. If you are in between sizes, order down.

Very nice shoe. As pretty in person as in the pics. My gripe is that the sizing seemed a bit off. My longest toe hit the end of the shoe. I suppose since they\'re leather, it would eventually stretch a little. I won\'t wait for that. For this price, I need a perfect fit. Other Josef Seibels of the same size did not have this problem. Also, I intended to remove the shoe bottoms and replace with an orthopedic insert. Some shoes have removable inserts. This shoe doesn\'t, so don\'t plan on replacing with your own insert.\r\n\r\n

These shoes were painful for the first few weeks. I took my husband's advice and just stuck with them. They are pretty good now. My toes have lots of room (they used to bang on the front, but that stopped) and my feet feel okay at the end of the day. I wouldn't say they were better than the $70 Naturalizers that I had last year, but I am hoping that they will be more durable so I don't have to replace my teaching shoes next year.

Nice shoes, very comfortable. I walk a lot at work and wanted something cute, but practical for taking stairs and traversing the city. The do make a little bit of a quiet, airy "woosh" sound when I walk though. Not enough to be a problem, but enough for me to notice.

Well constructed, very comfortable and cute. Have other Siebel shoes, one of the most comfortable brands I've had.

Cute comfy shoe!
I was afraid these shoes might look a little "clunky", but I'm pleased to report they don't AT ALL! I use them even for business casual. They are a smidge short in length - so long distance walking is out for me with these. I love them anyway, and they are fine for work, even for long days wandering the library stacks! If you're a borderline size... go up!

Comfy but hard to fit -
I tried these in two sizes the European equivalent of a 6-6 1/2 and the next one up 7-7 1/2. Neither fit me and I usually wear a 6 1/2 American. I was sorry to send them back because the sole was very comfy and especially on the ball of my foot where some shoes seem lacking in padding! I had to pull the strap so far over to make the larger stay on it looked funny, and the smaller left no toe room at all. Sorry I had to send them back tho. They are funky and I liked the look.

Great shoe -
I really love the shoe - it looks great and it's super comfortable. The only negative I've seen after 2 weeks of wear is that the leather on the toe seems to scuff easily, but that's easy enough to take care of.

This shoe runs about a size smaller than you would expect. I wear size 11 and Seibel size 42 is too short.

I find that the straps across the foot are very tight, therefore affecting the comfort of this shoe. I am trying to find another sandal to replace these.

These were bought to replace another pair of Siebel slides I wore out. The soles of these shoes are soooo comfortable. It is like walking on air.

I wear his shoes everyday. I stand all day at work and my feet and calves never ache if i'm wearing his shoes. I have 7 pairs and they are all great! With some of his shoes you have to break them in a bit but then they are like a glove!
