I loved these shoes right up until the moment I realized the mesh on the top of the foot had almost completely disintegrated in a line that had ripped wide open. They were very comfortable and gave me great support and traction on the trails, but I won\'t replace them with the same shoe. I\'ll try other Ahnus but this mesh obviously doesn\'t make the cut.

A+ for Zappos! I ordered "Ahnu Tamapalais II" shoes on-line with standard delivery and I got them overnight! I've been using them "pole walking" around the track and up a steep hill and the shoes really grip the course. I have ordered from Zappos before and still wearing the shoes I bought nearly 5 years ago. Another favorite company I like as well as "Lands End"! You won't be sorry!

Bought these shoes for a breathable sneaker I could wear at work or at play. Removed the insoles to put my Superfeet insoles in. Really loved these shoes at first; however, after two months they were falling apart. Seams were coming undone, and the breathable mesh ripped and had holes in it. I was really frustrated at how quickly they disintegrated; I've never had shoes do this before. Returned to Zappos.

This is the third pair of Ahnu shoes I have purchased and I have not been disappointed. I’m a nurse on a very busy floor and I’m on my feet for hours on end. At the end of the day my feet, legs, and back are not sore after wearing these shoes. They are very breathable and keep my feet cool. I have also worn them during walks and hiking and would recommend them for these activities as well. And as a bonus I get lots of compliments too.

Nice but run large -
Just got these delivered. They are very comfortable, flexible and supportive, and I can tell the mesh will be cool in hot weather. The size 8 is a half size too large though, so I will need to exchange them for a smaller size. I haven't bought a size 7.5 shoe in over a decade!

A must have!
I cannot begin to describe how awesome these shoes are, they are extremely comfortable and allow for ultimate foot flexibility on trails. The webbing allows for quick drying. Perfect for any outdoor adventure!

I bought these for a trip to Italy. I knew there would be a lot of walking. They were extremely comfortable, very light and felt good from day one. The lace system took a bit getting used to but once I figured it out, it was no problem and it was great not having to stop and tie shoelaces. I ordered a size 7(normally wear a 6.5 to 7) and the fit was good.

Comfortable out of the box -
This is one of the best shoe purchases I've ever made. I've worn these for the last month or so, weather permitting, and can't believe how comfortable and supportive they are. I typically wear a size 10 and found these true to size. I have flat feet, and my feet don't roll inward at all in these. My feet breathe nicely (I wear them without socks) and they feel cushioned, and yet the shoes are lightweight. I'll be wearing the heck out of these as I scramble around on stairs, rocks, and ruins on my upcoming trip to Greece. My favorite part of them? The quick-release strap. So easy to put on and take off. I tried Keens and Chacos before settling on these, and I'm glad I did.

Great shoe -
I just purchased this shoe and it's very comfortable - great arch support and nice send off from the heel. It runs a little small. I'm a true 6 and will be returning and getting a size 6.5. Strap is a little cumbersome.

Mesh is weak -
Great looking shoe, BUT a hole developed in the mesh where my big toe joint is. I have normal feet (no bunions), but this shoe did not hold up to hiking or the treadmill.

Super comfy, good fitting, great for light hikes, trail running or just an every day shoe. Plenty wide in the toe box. Easy to slip on and off... super stylish too.

These shoes are great! I really like the ventilation - but they kept my feet warm recently, and they also dry quickly after walking in the rain. Perfect for multiple day hikes, they're good to go the next morning. I took my heavy hiking boots on our last trip, but never put them on, these had support and traction and I didn't want the weight.

Nice shoe - I really like Ahnu shoes, they are comfortable. However, I have a wide toe box and this one is a little snug and they are a bit hard to get on, but it does seem to give after a few times. Haven't sent them back yet, still deciding. I may try another style in Ahnu and see if the toe box is better for me. Zappos rocks, they have been a life saver for someone with hard to fit feet!!!

Boundary Waters ready -
I just brought these with me on a week-long canoeing trip to the Boundary Waters and they were fabulous. They dried completely every night and the traction in the water was great--I didn't slip once. They are also very durable when hiking--in and out of the water. And very cute too! Nothing not to like about these shoes.

This was the 1st Ahnu shoes I ever bought. I find it so comfortable that I bought 2 more pairs of Ahnu shoes. I did have to soften up the heel area some, which I did not have to do with my other Ahnu selections. And, of course, Zappos is great!

Ahnu Tamalpais -
I was unsure of how the strap would feel as opposed to regular laces, but these shoes are way easier to put on and take off. At first the clip that holds the strap was difficult to unlatch, but it has seemed to "give" a little, without being too loose for the strap to slip.
On the first day, I wore these shoes without socks and got a bad heel blister, but other than that they are very comfortable. I would like more arch support, but I do have "Good Shoe" inserts which helps. They also feel a little smaller than they probably should, but that may also be due to my wearing the insert. I got the Moonrock color and I think they look pretty cool--not like a lot of other shoes you see around town. I work on my feet and these are great for that. A great shoe and really good tread.

Love them! I have plantar fasciitis and these work great! I have orthotics but can't really use them because the shoes are not really comfortable with them in. However I think the shoes give me enough support without my orthotics.

Fabulous find!
I love these shoes! This is my first pair of Ahnus, and I will definitely look for them in the future. The strap closure took a couple tries to get just right, but now I just slip them on, tighten up the strap and GO! They're light, comfy and feel superb.

Too small. My toe was pressing into the end, and 11 is the largest size they come in. Bummer, because I really liked them otherwise.

Love Ahnu...but not this model! I own other Ahnu shoes and love them, but this one was really uncomfortable and ugly. It just didn't cut it for me.

A Winner!
I love these shoes! They fit without slipping and I can adjust them the way I like them. They are light and feel very durable. I have been looking for a mesh shoe that is comfortable and fits. I tried the Salomon Techamphibian, but I did not care for them. The laces loosened up and the mesh was very scratchy. These are the exact opposite. The ribbon takes a bit of trying, but when you get it right, it is great! The mesh is very comfortable in the Ahnu.

Nice shoe but ouch. I liked everything about this shoe (it's light, stylish, has great colors, easy on-off), except the left one blisters my heel. I can't seem to break it in. Also, left tongue pinches a little. Admittedly, my left foot is a little weird, but this shoe causes more problems than most.

These look like orthotic shoes. Wide toe box, flat sole, and not very stylish. Comfortable though, especially for bunions. Strap is tough to tighten. Moderate arch support.

Not wide enough but really comfortable and cute! These shoes are really neat and would have been absolutely perfect if they were just a little but looser on the top. I have wide feet, and I let the strap go all the way loose. But my feet still felt way too constricted on the top. I have the Ahnu sandals, and the strap is usually a lot longer.

 |  | I want to personally thank all of you for sending my shoes standard overnight, even though I opted for UPS ground shipping. I only had one pair of black oxfords and they became unglued after doing some yard work. I have black jeans and clothes to wear them with, and needed these shoes very badly.
