I have worn Asics for years. Love the shoe; however, Zappos was able to get the shoe I needed where it would have taken the local shoe store 4 months to get the style I needed.

I really like the Asics Gel-Foundation 8. I've been training for a 5K for the past month & got these shoes maybe a week into it. I had found that I overpronate badly, to the point where my lower legs were really hurting from running. These shoes completely fixed the problem for me from the first time I used them. I did find that my feet would get numb about 25 minutes into running when I began using these, but not any more. I'm not sure if the numbness issue went away due to breaking them in, or doing more intensive calf stretching before I run (it may or may not have been due to the shoe). Either way, I'm very comfortable running in these shoes & will replace them with the same style when I wear them out.

I am trying to recover from a back condition so I was looking for shoes that would cushion enough to give me relief when walking or standing as well as good arch support. I found them with these shoes! They have been on my feet almost constantly since I received them. It has made all the difference in going about my normal work and living schedule. Great shoes!

I have a long narrow foot and it is hard to find shoes to fit. These fit perfectly. I also have arch problems and it has become much better after wearing these shoes a month. These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had! I appreciate the prompt delivery and that you will pay postage both ways.

My wife loves these shoes. She has flat feet and bunions so the medial post really helps. Not to mention that she wears a 12 narrow and is tough to fit. Great shoe, we love Asics.

I have been a big fan of these in the past and I bought these to replace my old Brooks. Sadly, since I started wearing these, my feet have been extremely sore, especially the ball of the foot. The padding they have placed in there hits just ahead of the ball of my foot, although the shoes fit perfectly otherwise. They also seem to lack the motion control in terms of guiding the footfall (key for over-pronators) that my old shoes had. Overall they are a very "squishy" shoe, which may appeal to some.

Purchased this shoe thinking I would probably return it. Had surgery for arthritic toes this spring and can't find anything that feels comfortable, especially in the toe box. I usually wear a 6.5 or 7 M. I ordered a 7W. So far these are great. Plenty of toe room yet they are snug enough in the heel/ankle not to slip. I might have been able to get by with the 6.5 but think these would leave plenty of room for socks later on. There is sufficient cushioning so that I don't have pain when I walk, haven't had to slip them off all day. Good shoe.

These run small in length and a little bit wider than most. I bought a pair 1/2 size longer than normal and while the arch is good and seems to be in the right spot, I feel like I am wearing boats. I really wanted the Evolution but there are few reviews on them and I don't want the hassle of returning shoes that are too short.

I'm so glad someone is finally making a narrow running shoe in some color other than blue and white. These shoes also allowed me to run without my orthotics for the first time in my life. But after just 200 miles or so, I'm having plantar fasciitis, which I've never had before. I fear my shoes are worn out already 200 miles!? Quickest ever, for me. I guess my health is worth more to me than a pair of shoes, so I'm going to buy this pair again and see if the pain goes away.

I recently started jogging. After attempting a 5K, my feet, ankles and heel were in pain during and after exercise. I went to a specialized running store in the area and the sales rep recommended these shoes. I was in love at first fit. They feel like they were made for my feet. I tried them out at the store by jogging on their "test track", otherwise known at the sidewalk. No pain in feet, ankles or heel. These shoes are worth the price. Jogging is a fun, painless exercise with these shoes! Oh and I love the color!

These shoes are great! I normally wear an orthotic for over pronation. But I don't need to use them because these shoes give me the proper arch support. And the gel cushions the footstrike so I can walk for hours in them without any pain. I just wish they came in more colors.

Awesome shoes!
I have plantar fasciitis and fallen arches and have been wearing New Balance shoes for years. On a whim, I thought I would try Asics Gel-Foundation 8 and am so glad I did. They fit great and my heel hardly hurts at all. Would recommend these shoes to anyone.

ASICS Gel-Foundation 8 -
I have super flat and skinny feet (absolutely no arch) and have personalized inserts that work wonderfully with this shoe. Even without the inserts, this shoe is very supportive for me with the make-up of my feet. Super cozy fit as well and a lighter feel than some arch-support or motion control shoes. Order a 1/2 size up though...I don't know why they make a shoe larger than a typical fit, but I'm ALWAYS a size 8 and with this shoe I have to get 8.5.

Love this shoe!
This is a very comfortable shoe with wonderful support for my 5-7 mile runs/walks. I would prefer it without the shiny silver but I must have missed this in the description. Aside from the look, 5 stars!

Wonderful Comfort -
I have big hard-to-fit feet and wear orthotics. These shoes fit and felt wonderful the first time I wore them. I did 4 miles on the treadmill the first day. Good support. It's a shame the contrast color is pink, but it's well worth the sacrifice.

I have purchased the Asics brand before and been happy. This shoe is cut far too high around my ankles and gave me multiple blisters. Tried to wear them again, but couldn't. Went back to my old shoes.

Great shoe. Comfy right out of the box. I have issues - flat wide feet, arthritis in my knee, and severe overpronation. This shoe provides the heel and arch support that I need along with great cushioning. I ordered a half size larger with the wider width and with my thick socks I’m good to go. Excellent customer service from Zappos.

An excellent all around running shoe!
I have a size 12 narrow foot and have a very hard time finding a good exercise shoe. I am very happy with the Asics Gel-Foundations and would highly recommend these shoes to all, especially if you have narrow feet! Get a half size larger than your other shoes. Thanks Zappos, Amy

I've found other shoes in the past a bit clunky and unattractive when they have good motion control. Not this one! :)

Good for my short wide feet (always order a larger size with athletic shoes) with a narrow heel. I bought a more expensive pair of Asics but will be returning them...these feel better esp. in the forefoot when running in place.

Best shoe ever!!!
I have finally found a shoe that will work for my crazy feet! I have plantar fasciitis and flat, wide feet. I also over pronate. If that wasn't enough, I wear a women's size 11.5 W! I've been wearing Brooks for a while, and while they were okay, I felt I needed more support. I do a lot of walking and sometimes found my feet to be pretty sore at the end of the day. After reading all the reviews, I finally settled on the Asics Gel Foundation. I ordered the 11.5 W. The support and cushioning can't be beat. My feet are super comfortable and don't hurt any more! I also love the color of these shoes and the fact that they don't look huge. I will definitely be ordering more of these. If you suffer from plantar fasciitis, you should really give these a try.
