I really like Born shoes. I have a wide foot, and their medium widths usually fit me quite comfortably. The Paulina is a great casual shoe. It's cute and comfortable and isn't too "athletic" looking. My only complaint is about the shoe laces. They're those slippery kind that won't stay tied. Laces are easy enough to change, though.

This choice was my third in an attempt to find a comfortable addition to my Ecco shoes, which are comfortable but not so great on uneven surfaces (such as the cobblestone streets on a recent stay in Rome). I\'ve finally found my shoe! It has a thick cushiony innersole and a steel shank that won\'t let my foot collapse on bumpy surfaces, like the streets of New York. They are really attractive and sophisticated for tie shoes. (I think they might run small. The 7.5 is a good fit but smaller than I expected.) I only hope they will make light colors for summer.
