These are your typical Converse: high on style, low on comfort/construction. The Star Players are basically the same shoe as Chucks, but in leather and, of course, with a different logo design. They don't offer any support at all, and take a while to wear in before they become comfortable. I got a blister on the top of my foot when I first wore these because the right shoe had a poorly cut tongue (and, if you've ever worn Chucks, you know how important it is to get the tongue right while you're breaking them in). Also, being leather, they're pretty insulating, and there is no ventilation on these shoes. Those complaints aside, they're super cute. I really like the black stripe on the toe, the extra-hi top, and the silver grommets. Like other Converse I've had, they do wear in eventually; after 2 weeks or so, they feel pretty good, and I wear them often, as long as I'm not doing a ton of walking. Basically, the Star Players are kind of expensive since they are shoddily made, but for me, they're balanced out by their unique style.

 |  | Wow. I placed an order online in Seattle yesterday at 2pm and this morning before I finished my first cup of coffee a UPS guy was standing in front of me with my shoes. I was going to ask if he had a shoehorn and could put my shoes on, because it was almost like being in a shoe store it was so fast. And best of all, it was free shipping. I feel like leaving you guys a tip or something. But I’ll tell you what, 3 other people in my office saw what went down and they were all on Zappos today shopping and I know they told a few friends.
