Keens rock and so does Zappos. These were about my tenth pair of Keens, I may have lost track, and I love them! They are comfy, true to size and I think will be my favorite outdoor boot ever. They were delivered quick, too! Thanks.

I ordered an 8 (my regular size) and an 8.5 and ended up keeping the larger size. Both pairs had a tendency to rub the back of my right heel, but after wearing the pair I kept about 3 times (with a piece of moleskin) it no longer rubs my heel at all. Outside of that, these were a "wear and go" type of boot with no other blistering or rubbing. I was looking for a hiking boot that offered very good arch support, good tread for slippery surfaces and good control to prevent turning my ankles when on rocky ground and this shoe performs very well in all cases. Excellent weight for temps ranging from mildly cold to hot and humid. I tried one of the Timberland boots in a similar price range, but it didn't have the same support and cushion as the Keen. It felt more like I was buying a name and not a quality boot with the Timberland unfortunately. I would recommend the Keen to anyone!

I ordered these in a 7 (my usual size), but needed a 7.5, and returned them. I ended up getting Keen shoes, instead of boots, because I did not want ankle support. But I really liked these boots. Light-weight, attractive, comfortable.

When I first ordered these I was afraid that they would feel heavy and "clunky" on my feet. But not so! I usually wear a size 7 and decided to order a half size larger after reading other reviews, and was glad I did. I walk a great deal on my job and am quite excited that I have a warm, lightweight, pair of boots to comfortably trek all over the place in. Not to mention that they look great, too. The only complaint I have is that they "dig" just a tad bit into the sides of my ankles, but it's not unbearable and I expect that to ease up the more I wear them.

I have used Zappos for a few years because I wear a size 5 1/2 shoe; not easy to find in the stores. Zappos always has a huge selection for me, and the customer service is superb. I was looking for a Vasque boot this time, but changed my mind based on the reviews for the Keen Voyageur Mid style. Per suggestions from other reviewers, I ordered a size 6 and am glad I did. At first the shoe seemed too tight; after I loosened the laces, it was perfect.

I have purchased over the last 3 years 7 pairs of Keen shoes, from oxfords to sandals. The last pair I purchased were Voyager hiking boots. I have not worn them on a hike yet but I have walked aroung the lakes in my area and they are comfortable, light weight and supportive. I am a foot reflexologist and know how important shoes are, from fit to support to flexibility. I would suggest Keen shoes hands down. Zappos has amazing service and the ability to try shoes on in my own home and having the time to decide if they are right for me is essential. I have ordered many pairs of shoes and returned them with the free shipping both ways. I do not feel pressured and I like that.

5 stars all the way through. I'm not much of a shoe person and although I understand that quality usually means shelling out the bucks, I am always hesitant to part with my money. I had initially bought hiking boots for $50 to wear during my planned month-long cross-country road trip. Um, yeah, no support, chafing at the ankles, material buckled; just felt terrible. Returned that pair and decided to go with the Keen Voyageur. I wore it for 4 hours out of the box and it felt wondrous. I decided to go with these during my trip. I wore these Keens while hiking through the Badlands, SD prairie land, Arches NP, Yosemite NP, and the Appalachian Trail and they were awesome. Never experienced even one second of discomfort. I will say that they got wet once, but that was when a storm hit while we were hiking and I kept stepping into shin-deep water, and even then, these shoes performed.

I bought two pair of these: one for my daughter and one for me. We both love them! There was absolutely no break-in time required (good for me, as I'm a procrastinator) and we literally took them out of the box and packed them for two weeks in the Canadian and US Rockies. I have another pair of Keens, so I was confident that we would be happy with these. The arch support is great, not like an orthotic, but more substantial than Vasque. Vasque does not have enough support for me and I don't want to mess with an orthotic. The laces are long enough to do those extra steps to prevent coming undone. These boots are not waterproof, but they do dry quickly. Toe box is wide and very comfortable. I normally wear size 8.5, but I wear a 9 in Keens. We couldn't be happier!

No breaking in period!
I work/teach at a biological field station and I got these as a replacement for my daily field shoes. I have been happy with my other three pairs of Keens and decided to try a hiker. I was able to hit the trails immediately! They were incredibly comfortable right out of the box. The ventilation is amazing and my feet stay dry (non-sweaty) during 100 degree, high humidity days. Another plus is the treads are large and do not seem to hold mud, so no tracking debris inside.

I can\\\'t say enough good stuff about this boot, but I\\\'ll try. I have some heel pain and ball of foot pain and both disappear when I\\\'m hiking/walking with these boots. My all leather Merrell boots are just too hot in this weather and I need the ankle support. I first tried some light weight Merrell boots but they weren\\\'t just right plus no removable footbed. I bought these Keen boots in my regular size (6 1/2) and a size 7. The 6 1/2 fit perfect. They have a removable footbed but the footbeds they come with have been great so no need to switch them out. Also love the color, sage and light blue - about as feminine as a hiking boot can get.

Perfect fit, even for my wide feet. Sturdy, motion controlling around the ankle, instant "break in" fit, whether you are 25 or 65. If you hike, these are great. I bought them on sale, and what a bargain! I am returning the other hiking shoes I had shipped for comparison. Without naming other brands, none of the ones I tried on compared to Keen's. If other colors go on sale, I will buy a spare pair. I bought the trooper/grey jade--the only color in my size on sale.

Love these boots! I have a pair for hiking (light day hiking mostly) and a pair for everyday wear. I work at a garden center and am on my feet 9 hours a day hauling heavy items over gravel-covered asphalt (not the foot-friendliest of surfaces). These boots cushion my feet and help ease joint pain. The toe box is wide, allowing your feet to spread out and move naturally, but the heel is narrower, and it doesn't slip or rub. The sole is rugged and thick so you don't feel every little bump underfoot. Arch support is decent. Mesh "vents" along the top of the shoe help keep your feet cool in hot weather (wear extra-warm socks when it's cold out). Note: these boots are NOT water-proof, but they do dry out super fast, even after a thorough soaking.

So far I love these shoes. Been wearing them around the house for a day and theyre comfy with good ankle support. Im usually a size 6-6.5, so I got a 7 and they fit perfectly. Ordered on Sunday, arrived to Hawaii by Thursday. I got the dark brown and orange color - pretty cute. Cant wait to test them out on the hiking trails here!

These boots are amazing. I took a trip out to Colorado for some hiking (which I had never really done in mountainous terrain) and they were perfect. Great support, super-comfy, little/no break-in time. I also wear these when its raining out and they keep my feet dry (I have not stomped in deep puddles, so I dont know how waterproof they are). They look cute with jeans and khakis. I have the pair with the light blue accents, and they are not "girly" looking at all - they look like hiking boots.

LOVE this boot! It needs almost no breaking in time. We just came back from a trip out West which included hikes in the Valley of Fire, Zion Nat'l Park, Bryce Canyon, and the Grand Canyon and they did great. They're VERY comfortable; my feet were never tired at the end of the day and never got any blisters. Plenty of room in the toe box too. We hiked Angel's Landing at Zion and these had such great grip, I felt confident in every step of that last half mile. I am officially sold on Keen and Zappos.

These were comfortable right out of the box in a half size up. They're light and stylish and not too high. I walked almost a whole day in them at Acadia and there was no pain, no breaking in stage at all. I really love them; I highly recommend them for an amateur or hobby hiker.

Great Shoe -
I purchased this shoe to have something to stand up to being in the desert overseas, half of what you walk through is gravel so you need a shoe designed to take a beating. These shoes have stood up wonderfully so far. I have a wide foot and a size 10 and a high arch. Keeping that in mind I ordered based on the other results. Since I have a tendency to stretch out my shoes I ordered at my size and not a half size larger...It was tight when I first got it and it took a couple days of weaning them with the strings pretty lose to break them in. They are now comfy and I have gotten several compliments on how cute they are (added bonus in the desert). They are now relaxed and still very comfy. I am impressed by their ruggedness and their comfort. If you like a tighter fit - order your size and wear them around the house to break them in. If you need more room definitely order a half size higher. I am thrilled with this boot and will definitely buy more in the future. Please note when I voted I voted based on how they felt out of the box - they will relax if you give them time. If you put in a commercially available graphite arch - it may get tight in the shoe. But there is plenty of space in the heel for those who use the doctor issued rubber arches...

Great hiking boot!
I wear these for long backpacking and hiking trips. They are really comfortable and supportive, and they don't have that stupid waterproof membrane. Everybody with any sense knows that your feet are wet within 1/2 hour of wearing any boot, so you need the ventilation. And I just ford streams instead of looking for dangerous logs to go over - squish, squish, squish, and my feet are dry within 20 minutes on the trail. Great boot!

Keen! My shoe company!
I LOVE these shoes. I have been buying Keens since 2000 and they never fail to satisfy. I have found them to be comfortable right out the box. I will NOT wear a shoe that needs to be "broken in" and my feet agree. You can't beat the quality of Keen products. These boots are another winner. I always order them a size larger for my orthotics. Enjoy!

Just right for my needs -
Thanks to previous reviews, I ordered a size up from street shoes - perfect fit with room for thick socks. I got them early to break them in before hiking the Napali coast in Kauai in May, but they are very comfortable already. My feet did get a little warm but I live in San Diego so that's normal for anything more than flip flops. My ankle rubbed a bit but I was wearing short socks so hoping tall socks will fix that. It wasn't bad enough to leave a mark. The color was a nice forest green rather than the gray of the picture online. The blue is brighter than the picture looks, but it's a small amount so I don't mind. Very comfortable and hope I can update this after my Kauai hike!

A new look!
My fame comes from being the only walking woman in the neighborhood who wears Capezio flats for walking, although I have now branched out to red keds. I was invited to go hiking in the mountains and asked what kind of hiking shoes I had: "Red keds!" "You mean the canvas numbers with smooth sole and no treads?" " Yes." "No support, no traction: you need boots that cover your ankles and have traction." When I first wore them in the neighborhood to practice walking in them, I was a sensation: a new look for Nancy! "Welcome to the real world." I reported that it felt as if "I was walking on air!" Duh! I ordered them a 1/2 size larger as recommended and they fit perfectly and the design pleases me as well. Hopefully this woman who doesn't own jeans will do well hiking in the mountains.

I love these boots. They were the first pair of Keen's that I got. They are so comfortable. I wore them for a 17 hour day when I first got them and had no problems and my feet and legs and back did not hurt after walking so much. Great for trails and good traction. I have many pairs of Keen shoes now.
