These are very comfortable and look great, but I have to change socks twice a day because they make my feet sweat so bad. I have never had a pair of shoes do this before. This is my only complaint about these shoes; I really like them otherwise.

Leather beats "Mesh" any day!
Hey gang. LOVE the new Nike Leather LX's. These have all the advantages of a state of the art lightweight trainer combined with the durability and easy-clean of leather! Thank God Nike is smart enough to offer a cross trainer in leather. Leather beats "mesh" any day of the week. These stretch just enough and can be pulled on easily. The best part is that they last forever. The full length air, unless it pops lasts a very long time. You always have some spring left, unlike some shoes that have only foam which can compress over time... The Generates have really nice "spring back" from the encapsulated air unit and it grips the wooden floors of the cardio room at my gym really well. I teach cardio classes 3 times a week and these shoes are great and last three times as long as the mesh ones I've been getting for the last couple of years. Nike shoes in my experience tend to favor a more "fit" athlete in the way they design the cushioning. I would say if you are a male under 190 pounds these shoes would work very well for you. I am 165 pounds and they work great for me. Lots of cushion and great bounce back when I'm teaching my classes. The big advantage of leather is that it wears well. Much better than mesh and it gets looking better with wear instead of worse. It's easily cleaned with a damp cloth and hand soap. Try doing that with mesh! Once mesh gets dirty, it's dirty forever. If you rub hard enough to remove the dirt, you will also damage the mesh. Not cool and leads to pre-mature shoe tossage. That can get expensive. These shoes are the best deal in town. My pricier New Balance Cross Trainers feel like "bricks" compared to these. NB shoes are definitely geared toward heavier athletes. Keep these in mind if you are recreational athlete with a fairly "normal" BMI. Let's face it. You know you're lookin' good and you workout hard to stay that way. Don't buy shoes designed for couch potatoes. Get the right stuff. Nike. Best bang for the buck out there.
