Great shoe for walking in wet areas. I walk my dog every day and the park grass is nearly always wet. This is my second pair of Salomon, I had the first for a couple of years and wore them out. They really are waterproof and comfortable. They're also wide enough with a B medium.

I want to love these tennis shoes...but there is a BIG problem...The drawstring laces are amazing, particularly that they never break and the end tucks so nicely into the mesh on the tongue...there is so much arch support, and I think they look pretty cool too. But there is a fatal flaw. W/in 2 or 3 months of wear a hole opens up in the back end of the shoe... a big hole. I've bought 2 pairs now and it’s happened in the same spot, same size, in both the right and left shoe...both times! Bigger than a quarter and a half inch deep, it starts to rub your Achilles no matter how thick your socks are, and you get blisters. Also they run big. I'm a 10 and had to get a 9 1/2...But I wouldn’t recommend getting them anyways due to this "hole" issue...Salomon! Fix it! I love these shoes and am annoyed that they keep breaking!

Hiker -
The shoe was comfortable but less expensive shoes have been just as comfortable. The little bag to store the laces is very bulky and awkward looking for a woman. I was disappointed in the look of it once on my feet.

My Favorite Shoes!
If you are thinking of ordering this shoe, do it. This is my third pair in 4 years. I have used this shoe for hiking, trail running, walking around town, and teaching environmental education on the beach. In all situations my feet have been comfortable and have remained dry (even when walking in and out of tide pools in the rain). These shoes have completely replaced my hiking boots in the spring and summer because they are light weight and have great traction. I find that the GORE-TEX lasts about 2 years before it needs replacing. I have suggested this shoe to many friends - all outdoor enthusiasts - and they are all in love with them too. This shoe does run big so order a half size down and you'll be all set for your next adventure!

Great shoes - I just bought the same pair. I still use my 1st pair - but I have had them for 4 years. I used them as my only gym & walking shoe & they are still in good shape.

Great waterproof runner!
Shoes fit exactly to size, a little wide perhaps in the heel, but that's adjustable. These don't shrink when wet, unlike other shoes, and they will keep your feet completely dry and warm, yet aren't too warm to use inside. Love them.

Nice shoe! Have only worn twice and got lots of compliments each time. They are quite comfortable although I ordered a size down initially and ended up having to go back up a size. The staff at Zappos did a fantastic job with my exchange! I will definitely order from Zappos again!!!

This is THE BEST trail running shoe I have ever used; it's extremely comfortable, supportive and wears well. It's an added plus that it looks so good and comes in great colors. I run in the wet, muddy Pacific Northwest and have tried many shoes over the years. The GORE-TEX lining really helps in the wintery-wet conditions here. The GORE-TEX does make the shoe retain heat, so if you don't need the lining, I would recommend going with the non- GORE-TEX model of this shoe. I also wear this shoe for daily wear around town, walking and hiking. It's fabulous!

Great for walking/day hiking -
I wear a 5 1/2, these fit perfectly! Great for sightseeing or easy trail hiking. Didn't even need to break them in.

This shoe fit the bill for what I needed, a waterproof running shoe with good traction. I do a sport called dog agility and often the grass is wet in the morning, but my feet stayed nice and dry. It may be because they were new, but at the end of the day, my feet were really ready for a change of shoes, even though they fit very well. They are a bit different that the type I have worn before so it probably is just getting used to them. I do use my own orthotics in them.

Great shoe for all walker/hikers -
The shoes are really wonderful, I've worn them under all kinds of conditions and they have stood up to everything I've thrown at them. You do have to look out for the quick lace system, after a few uses they try to loosen on their own.

Great shoe!
I bought this shoe last summer before heading to Peru for 6 weeks of trekking and touring. It was fantastic - very comfortable and held up better than I think my running sneakers would have. I love being able to slip my feet in/out easily, especially for airport security/long plane rides or when I have to get out the door quickly.
