I am diabetic and have trouble finding shoes that are comfortable to wear for any length of time.The Dockers Proposal fits very well and is extremely comfortable. It took me a few days wear to get used to the lip around the heel, but once that was taken care of, I don't even notice it.

They certainly look nice, are well made, and were comfortable enough at first. Unfortunately if you need to be on your feet all day, go with something else. Arch support after a few hours is really lacking.

I do a lot of walking for work, and these shoes are super-comfortable, easy to care for, and durable. They're also very easy to slip on and off, so it's not a problem slipping them off while at my desk. What more could you want!?

These shoes are incredibly comfortable. There is a weird lip at the back at the top of the ankle that takes a little getting used to, but that is very minor compared to the comfort of the shoe. And it looks great in either a formal setting with a suit or dress pants and dress shirt or in a more casual setting with jeans. Definitely a good buy.

Feel broken in one the first day.
Great comfort with a gel insole already built into the shoe. I have been wearing them for six hours and they do not feel like they need to be broken in like most shoes I have purchased. Very pleased with the shoes style, comfort, and most of all the price.

This shoe fit well and was not painful to break in. But one drawback is the plastic label in the heel. It tends to rub on the bottom of my heel causing minor discomfort.

Right heel -
I really wanted to like the shoes but I sent the first pair back because it felt like I was stepping on a skinny pencil running across the width of the right heel. I kept the second pair because I needed them for a function, even though in the same heel area it feels like I am standing on loose change. Someone needs to alert Dockers.

Just what I wanted -
Shoe was true to size and exactly what I was looking for. Took about a day to break in. Excellent casual shoe that looks great with jeans or to wear on a casual Friday.

My husband keeps going back to Dockers. I've tried to get him to wear other shoes, but he says these are the most comfortable. He wears them every day to work. Would definitely buy again.

Good quality, good look and great price. The gel in the heel took a little getting used to, but overall very satisfied.
I also want to give a shout out to Zappos! I ordered two pairs of shoes yesterday and they both came today!! These were my 9th and 10th pair of shoes I've purchased from Zappos and I've never received anything but top notch service. I do a lot of shopping online and no one comes close to them in customer service.

Very nice shoe for the price. Out of the box and on the feet. I returned the first pair, they ran half size larger. I wear a 10.5 in most shoes but had to get a 10 in this one.

Got these for my teenage son for the holidays and he hasn't worn a dress shoe in years. These fit him and looked simple yet snazzy. He claims they are really comfortable.

I really want to like these shoes, but I can’t seem to find a pair that fits my feet. I wear an 8 shoe so I ordered the Women’s 8/Men’s 6. They were GIGANTIC! So, I returned them and ordered a Women’s 7/Men’s 5. My toes go over the edge, so now I have to return these, too. I’ve never seen such a size difference between a 7 and 8. Perhaps Crocs needs to start offering half sizes.

Fine shoe for the $-
Looks like a nice slip on dress shoe. Very comfortable although the heel has an odd clear plastic cushion pad inside the shoe that feels a bit odd at first. Sole is made of very soft rubber so will have to see how long it lasts.

These are great shoes. I had to exchange them for a half size up however. Very comfortable once I got the right size. There is little to no breaking-in period at all.

Docker Proposal Review -
This shoe is more dress shoe than casual. It wears and feels a lot more comfortable with thinner dress socks as opposed to thicker casual cotton socks. Leather is very flexible and is comfortable enough for office wear, but not for extended walks or other activities. Good shoe for the price.

These do take some breaking in at first. Stretching them daily (rolled up newspaper at night) and going through a lot of toe pain. When I bought them I could only find the Medium width...Now they are super comfortable, I run around a lot in my office and these are perfect. They look good with jeans, too.

This shoe is basically what I expected from studying the pictures before ordering. It has a nice fit if I wear thin socks. There is some toe pressure (my 'big' toe is always in contact with the upper part of the shoe), so there is a tendency for holes to rub into my sock where it covers my toe nail. I mostly solve the problem by "bunching" material slightly around the toes when putting the shoe on. Sadly, a lot of the shoe styles today have this design flaw. However, you wouldn't get that impression of this shoe from looking at the pictures (after all, there are some shoes that have a toe area so thin you could use them for swimming flippers, and you walk like a duck when you wear them, too!). Another problem is the heel of the shoe has a thick roll that wraps around your Achilles’ tendon. It is too snug for my preference, but I notice that it gets better (looser) with each wear. If I could do it over, I would order a half size larger and wear thick socks. This shoe does not have size problems (in my experience) but it does have some design problems, in terms of comfort. Most men still prefer comfort over style, manufacturers!

Clunky at first, but comfortable -
This shoe weighs an absolute ton and feels really clunky when you first put it on. They really weigh your feet down, which can be a drag if you spend a lot of time walking around during the day.
If you drive a car with a manual transmission, you really have to get used to wearing these shoes when driving as they provide absolutely no feel through the soles of your feet. Heel & toe downshifting is iffy, too, because you can't really tell how much of the ball of your foot is on the brake pedal.
The gel padding in the heel pad is a bit squidgy at first and the feeling of your foot squirming around on it is unsettling at first, but is very comfortable once you get used to it.

I've been very happy with this shoe as an everyday shoe for a dress/casual office environment. Very comfortable from the first day with no break in period. It is stylish looking but still conservative enough to wear with office attire. Very good value for the price.

 |  | I want to personally thank all of you for sending my shoes standard overnight, even though I opted for UPS ground shipping. I only had one pair of black oxfords and they became unglued after doing some yard work. I have black jeans and clothes to wear them with, and needed these shoes very badly.
