Tough shoe survived all summer with my little shoe destroyer. This shoe is sturdy! We live on a lake and this shoe was worn daily in and out of the water. Was perfect for my little guy who goes back and forth between the lake and running around the yard. His feet were well protected from sharp rocks and any glass that may be on the lake bottom, and they had enough support that he didn't need to change shoes if he decided to get out and ride his bike or play soccer or climb trees. These shoes really got a workout, but are still in great shape. Great investment if you typically enjoy the ability to use 'hand-me-downs' in your family. I'm guessing these would survive 3 summers with ease. Another bonus: no stinky feet with these.

This is my 4 yr old son's second pair of Keen sandals (the others were Newport H2). These are much easier for him to put on. I did size up and they are fine - a tiny bit big, but not overly so. They are comfy and cute, give more stability than many sandal styles, and hold up very well to active play. I love the wide toe of Keens. We all wear them!

This is our standard summer shoe for our toddler -
Because it has a covered toe and breathable design. It is super sturdy and provides good sole support. Best of all-- we can throw it right into the laundry. I am sure we will keep buying these for my son until he can buy his own!

Great Shoes!
This is the second year I've bought these for my son. They were the only shoes he wore last summer and I'm expecting the same this year. They are rugged and great for play on land or water. Also, I've had great results with machine washing these when they start to smell.

Perfect All Around Shoe for an Active Little Boy!
These shoes are great for outdoor active play, poolside, or anything. And my 2 1/2 yr. old son can put on and take off these shoes all by himself -- just like a big boy. I ordered these shoes a size larger than my son's foot which may account for the slightly clownish look but otherwise, a great looking and great performing shoe. You can't go wrong with this one.

Great all-around summer shoe -
Great shoe for child to wear in all different situations this summer. Can go in water, good sole to climb and run. Toes are protected. Very cute too. Easy to put on and off. The only negative is that the inside can get a little smelly after wear.

A nearly indestructible shoe. Well made, sturdy, and washable. Yes, they can get smelly, but there are so many other strong points of this shoe, that I don't mind scrubbing the mud off them and tossing them in the washer periodically. This style has the velcro closure at the ankle, which, while much more convenient than the Newports that don't have this easy-on/off feature, tended to rub my son's ankle bone at first. I haven't noticed this recently, so they must have softened up a bit. They're still a bit clunky and this could be a problem for toddlers or other little kids just learning to walk or run. When my son was 2 he tended to trip more in his Newports than in his other shoes. But as the size increases, the clownish proportions diminish. In all, a great shoe.

We had to cut off the waterproof tag because it would catch his skin when putting on the shoes, but after that, they're perfect. Rugged, great looks, and very comfortable (now).

Great shoe for active toddlers -
I just got the Keen Kids Venice H2 for my 4 year-old son and I couldn't be happier! My son loves them and is the only kind of shoe he wants to wear, we had washed them and they look as good as new, my son finds them to be very comfortable and we are thinking of buying more of this brand for the winter and when he goes to school. As always the service with Zappos is great, now when I see shoes on TV or on the magazines, the first thing I do is to check if Zappos has them so I can buy them there, I don't buy shoes anywhere else.

I just bought a pair for both of my boys ages 2 and 3. They have been great. I was really looking for a summer shoe that could handle all the rough play that little boys enjoy. It has all the qualities I wanted in one shoe. It was worth the money to get this shoe verses a water shoe, athletic shoe, and sandal with a covered toe... My husband even asked for a pair after he saw the boy's sandals...

I bought a pair for myself and now have my mother in law, husband, and both sons in them. My youngest broke out in a rash and I am trying to troubleshoot that now. I haven't heard of it with anyone else, though, so don't worry. My son has sensitive skin anyway so if your child does also, this is a notice to you. OH- my sons and I all have flat feet. These shoes are great sandals for us.

Great boy summer sandal -
I bought these shoes for my twin 5 year old boys. We go camping a lot during the summer months. The boys were able to hike, swim, and run around the campsite easily. I threw them in the wash when we returned and they look great!

Perfect closed toe sandal -
I bought these for my 2 year old son. He was recently measured as a size 7. I bought size 8s in other shoes, but needed a 9 for these. Definitely a full size smaller than marked. They are very wide at the toe, which makes them easy to get on and off. So far, he says they are comfortable and has proved it by running up and down the street! I looked around for a good closed toe sandal that would protect his little toes on the playground, but still be open and airy enough for hot days. These are the best I found! Exactly what I wanted.

They are wonderful. This is the third pair I have bought for each of my kids. They are comfortable and wash up great! I will be purchasing Keens again I'm sure.

GREAT shoe!
My son dislikes sandals and has trouble running in his Crocs...these shoes are a great compromise. They have a gym shoe base with plenty of openings for air flow and they're waterproof! The moment my son put them on, he hasn't taken them off. I would recommend ordering one size up if your child is between sizes...they run a bit small.

Runs small, great value; buy one, only shoe for whole summer.
My daughter had these in pink last summer and I was not sure about getting the style for my son. The blue color is very cool and the style is much less clunky looking than the Newport. The Venice looks great on his feet and not at all feminine, just less clunky than Newport (I think the color makes the difference: in pink it looks girly). As far as sizing, he was sized at Stride Rite as an 11.5W, so I ordered a 12; they were too small, his toe was touching the front of the shoe on the inside. I reordered at 9:30 pm and received the size 13 the next day at 2pm. How is this possible? Could Zappos make it any easier? The customer service rep was so helpful and made the return process incredibly smooth. Keen sizing runs small, so this ease of return will make all the difference in my future buying decisions. I will buy only from Zappos from now on. My son will wear these in lieu of sneakers for play (the comfort of these sandals is unreal), in place of loafers with khakis (the blue color looks very nice as even a sort of dress sandal surprise, surprise), and at the beach. Perfect all around shoe and saved me a bundle in buying several different styles of shoes for different uses for the summer.

Love this shoe!
This is the shoe to buy. They look great on my son and are very comfortable. They do run wide which is great for me because my son has a wide foot and they do run about 1 size smaller than Stride Rite which is what he normally wears, so be sure to order a size larger when you buy these shoes.

Love these!
We bought these shoes for my son a few weeks ago. He loves them! They are oh so comfy and easy to put on. And they look so cute on him. Plus, they are the easiest shoes in the world to clean. I would definitely recommend them.
