These are wonderful shoes. I have a new baby and wanted something that would be very comfortable for long walks, but would still look more urban than running shoes. The Plaza Bandeau shoes have so far been perfect. I walk several miles a day in them and have had no problems at all. The slip-on styling is also great for getting out the door quickly with an impatient baby! I think that Merrell sizing tends to run a little big. I tried my regular size and a half-size down in these shoes, and it was the smaller pair that fit better.

Cute looking shoes and comfortable. I especially like the heel height; I don't like flat shoes. I usually wear a 7, but I purchased these in a 7 1/2 because my toes hit in the 7 and I need to wear thick socks with them. They look great with jeans and patterned socks although you could wear them with casual pants as well.

I love these shoes; I needed a versatile shoe for long days on my feet and potentially adverse weather, and I couldn't be happier. I got the espresso, and they are super-cute, they look great with fun socks or tights. No breaking in necessary. I am on my feet in an animal ER for 10+ hours at a time, and they provide great support and comfort as well as traction galore. I've worn them on pretty long hikes because I'm silly, and they came out of it none too worse the wear, as did my feet! I can wear them for work or play, and get a lot of compliments. I have numerous orthopedic problems and often feel achy after a day's work, even with orthotics in, but not with these shoes. I am now a Merrell devotee. I normally wear a 9, give or take a 1/2 size, and I almost wish I'd gotten these in an 8.5 instead, although the slight roominess allows for me to wear thick hiking socks or warm wool socks comfortably. Arch support seems like it would be good for most people, but I have insanely high arches and have never found shoes that fully supported them. I practically never take them off!

Zappos rocks! Best online service I've used! Fastest delivery for free; I got them the next day, easy free returns. I recently bought the same pair of shoes from Onlineshoes.com (Zappos did not have my size at the time) and they sent me a worn pair. They did take them back, but I had to deal with the hassle. I would never buy shoes from any other online store but Zappos. Also, I love these shoes. Extremely comfortable and cute. True to size.

These shoes are cute, very comfortable, and great to walk and stand in. Right from the box they were eminently wearable. So far my only complaint is that the rubberized toe and sides seem to affect breathability when wearing socks (vs tights or hose).

Fit great - love these shoes. I think they are true to size based on my experience. I wear the same size I wear for all my other street shoes. These are very versatile as they can be dressed up or down depending on the day.

I was looking for a comfortable, chocolate brown shoe for a trip to New England. Knew Merrell was a brand I loved, so looked up that brand on Zappos. Saw this shoe, looked for it in my local Merrell store. They did not have it in chocolate brown, so ordered it from Zappos. Came swiftly. Shoe is stylish and very comfortable. I have a bunion on my left foot, so feared it might be too tight. However, after a few short wears, the suede stretched just enough to accommodate the bunion. Got lots of compliments on my cute, comfortable shoes. Strap is not meant to be unfastened. Can slide foot into shoe as is. Would do this again! Thanks.

After wearing several pairs of cheap shoes and about ruining my feet, I decided to invest in shoes more appropriate for a work day that consists primarily of standing. I bought these in the dark brown tones (espresso) and think this color combo was the funkiest. These shoes are super comfortable but still interesting and fun. My husband said he liked them best of all my shoes. I\'m tall with long feet, but the size 9.5 was true to size and doesn\'t slip at all. Great shoe!

These are cute shoes, but they are not comfortable, so far. I bought them to wear on a trip of New York City. By the end of the first day, I was dying. My feet were sore, so I didn't wear them the rest of the trip. I liked the heel height because some of my athletic style pants are kind of long for my Nikes. I will try to wear them again. The leather is very stiff and even though the sole is rubber, the inside footbed feels hard and inflexible.

I bought these shoes to take on a 3 week-long trip to Europe knowing that I would be walking everywhere. I read the other reviews on this shoe, and was sold. The shoe is very cute and stylish. I ordered my regular size (9.5) and the fit was perfect. I wear them with the little microfiber no-show liner socks. I did not break them in beforehand. The first day I wore them was the first day of Oktoberfest in Germany. I was on my feet for about 8 hours. The shoes did great. However, I did get blisters on the tops of a couple of my little toes and on one heel. I would probably attribute it to the fact that I never wear regular shoes. I am almost always in flip-flops or sandals. Within a few days, I had no discomfort whatsoever. I would definitely purchase these again and recommend them highly!

I just got these in the black leather and based on other reviews I ordered both a 7 and a 7.5. I am a pretty standard size 7 but the 7\'s were very snug and the 7.5 felt better. They felt very comfy and are a nice alternative to my Danske clogs that I normally wear for casual.

I wore these shoes to an outdoor concert and we had to walk a good distance from our car and it rained so the grass got slippery. These shoes provided comfort and excellent traction on the wet grass. My best pair of shoes.

Awesome shoes right out of the box. No breaking in! I would suggest buying them snug (not tight) as they are leather and loosen over time. I bought these to wear for my trip to Italy so I could walk around all day and not look like a dorky American in gym shoes. These held up all day with great support.

I was looking for an "athletic" Mary Jane style shoe and was so excited when I found these. I bought the brown suede ones in my normal size 9. At first they felt wonderful, but after about 2-3 hours my toes felt so pinched (width wise!). I could not wait to take them off! I am so frustrated because I love their look and the heel height is perfect (can't do flats) and am hoping beyond hope I can break these in to where they are comfortable. I'd buy them in every color if I could make them feel better around my toes. (The band doesn't bother me at all.) I have a pair of Merrell MJ "Encores" and had to go down to a size 8.5 on those! I guess you just have to try them on and see for yourself. I so want these to work!

I love the Merrell brand! As a teaching assistant I am on my feet all day and at recess. I needed a shoe that was professional looking, but could handle some outdoor use on the playground. The Plaza did just that. Comfort, style, and rugged. The toe covering protects my shoes from gravel, roots, and those odd things on the playground. I also don't have to worry about wet spots or dew in the grass messing with the leather. The grippy surface tread lets me skip over rocks and keeps things safe when there are spills in the lunchroom. Still it is a cute little Mary Jane style that works well with a skirt, slacks, or my jeans. One note: to some of you with not a high arch but a higher slope on top, the shoes might be a bit tight. The leather will stretch, but it will be a bit tight to begin with. Also, as mine got broken in I noticed a rotten squeak that came in side to side motion in the heel.

These look pretty cute. I love the traction and I love the heel height. The problem is that the heel is awkward, it causes my ankles to fall inward for some reason. Note: The strap is not detachable from what I could tell, it's fixed in place.

These shoes are awesome and, for me, are true to size. The insole feels amazing, and these are professional enough for me to wear to my job as a teacher, standing all day on a tile-on-concrete floor. Love these!

Probably the most uncomfortable shoe I have ever worn. The strap across was so tight that every step was painful. I have purchased Merrell before and been very happy with them, but this had to be returned.

Perfect Shoe - I bought this shoe to take me from work to weekend, long dresses and short skirts. The details give them enough panache to pull off with dressy/casual at work, and they are so cute with anything else. The major plus is that I have high arches and narrow heels, and usually I can't wear shoes with backs to them. These fit perfectly; my arches never ache and I never got a blister. Do order 1/2 a size down, though.

Awesome shoes! They are cute, comfortable, and I can walk and stand in them for hours. Great for travel, my feet are happy, and I don't look like the American tourist in my running shoes. It's hard to find a blend of style and walk-ability in a shoe; these do a great job.
