I\'ve been looking for a black lace up shoe that is comfortable, yet provides support, because I am recovering from a long bout with plantar fasciitis. I thought these might do the trick, but because the sole is only slightly higher at the heel, the shoes did not provide the right height. My doc has said, be sure to get 1 1/2 inch heels. The leather uppers are very soft, which felt good for the rest of my foot, but maybe just a little too soft for me. I was afraid they might stretch out too much and become floppy. Nice construction though, and no fancy ornamentation on the black ones so you could get away with wearing them with slacks at work.

When I went on zappos there they were. Great. And now they make them even better. They are comfortable and great for walking city streets.

I got these for my 85 year old mom to replace her last pair. She has a really hard time finding shoes to fit her long, narrow foot. We got her the same size as the old ones (they were probably about 3-4 years old) and they fit beautifully. Got the sand color and they are a little lighter than the color showed on the webpage. We love Zappos and thank you for all that you do to make our lives easier. You are appreciated!

Recently bought a pair of Ecco shoes, Mobile was the name of the shoe. I had recently seen them on a friend of mine and they looked so comfortable. I tried to find them in my area with no luck and turned to Zappos and they were able to provide me with the very shoe I wanted. They are very comfortable and I'm considering purchasing another pair in black. There was no shipping charge and they arrived very quickly, like in three days of my order. Thank you Zappos!

These are the best shoes I\'ve ever owned. I\'m a teacher and stand on my feet every day. I also do physical activities such as running, hiking, dog-walking. These shoes will last you a long time if you treat them right.

Disappointed -
I purchased these after reading the reviews. I needed shoes that would provide support and comfort for standing on concrete.
Sizing: My shoe size ranges between 7.5 and 8, so I selected the 39 instead of the 38 to be safe. The shoes were closer to an 8.5 and very large on me.
Inserts: I was disappointed in the inserts that came with the shoe. First of all they were very thin and offered no comfort. They kept shifting on me and I had to remove them.
Conclusion: I would have returned these except that I marked them while trying them on. In the end I added a pair of ImpactGel inserts (purchased after watching Pitchmen!) which helped with the fit and support. I would not recommend these shoes on the basis of having to customize them. For the price they are definitely NOT worth the money.

This is my favorite shoe! I have multiple foot problems and this shoe helps with all of them. It provides adequate support, yet is flexible enough to fit comfortably. It keeps my feet at just the right temperature even in the summer and it protects my feet against injuries.

This is a comfortable, fairly attractive shoe. I am still sorry that Ecco discontinued the Soft style.

Finally, a black shoe that performs better--and looks better--than most athletic shoes! I bought these because I travel a lot and needed cool-looking kicks that are practical for big cities, airports, subways, escalators, etc. These deliver. I can't speak for the other color choices, but the all-black Mobile is a lot cuter in person than I thought it would be. They look great with jeans and casual pants. I have an edgy, rocker style and usually wear chic heels or boots. But these didn't compromise my image like a typical flat/sneaker does; I still felt like "me" in these. Best of all, I can wear them all day and all night. They took me all around NYC for a week and still looked new. The only day my feet felt the least bit sore was when we walked around museums all day (we only sat for one hour, at lunchtime). I doubt even the best athletic shoe would have been able to prevent foot fatigue that day. Everyone I was with ached that night. After some stretching, elevating, and a good night's sleep, I was walking miles and miles the next day in complete comfort.

It requires no break in period, is comfortable every day even with a bunion, and (in black) works with slacks in a professional environment. I am on my second pair and I hope they never stop making them. I love that they provide support and are still light on the foot.

Comfy...Not so much -
I was looking forward to wearing these shoes because of all the positive reviews it got. First of all they run very narrow, I wear a size 7 1/2 and have narrow feet. When I went to put them on I REALLY had to struggle to put my feet in them. Not a good sign!! I work in the banquet dept. of a busy hotel and am on my feet anywhere from 10-14hrs a day. They are not very skid proof; I have to be careful when walking around any sort of spill.
I really did not feel any arch support; I have flat feet & plantar fasciitis so I need a lot of arch support. I have custom made orthotics but because the shoes are so narrow I can't even put them in the shoes. Also, after a long day when I take them off I have an imprint of the whole top of the shoe on my skin!!
I would like to return them, but as I've already worn them to work a couple of times (that job kills shoes) I can't.

I thought the look of this shoe was nice. The color was a little bit off than what I thought it was going to be. They're pretty comfortable. I am diabetic, have bad, flat feet, and also have to wear orthotics. Plus my feet are very narrow. I think if my feet were more "normal" they would really feel wonderful. I would recommend these shoes to everyone.

Sizing Change -
I ordered my fourth pair in 6 years of Ecco Mobiles last month. I have narrow feet and use orthotics. These have been my only comfortable shoes for years, and I like the fact that they look good. The first pair I received last month was noticeably wider and longer than the other 3 pairs I have owned. I returned them. The second pair was a little better, but still wider and longer than my previous pairs. I kept them and have been wearing them for a couple of weeks, but I am still trying to figure out how to make them fit better. Thicker socks? An extra insole? I sure wish they hadn't changed the sizing. I wonder if others have had the same experience.

These are the boots I've been looking for. Warm, soft, comfortable, waterproof, easy to get on and off and aren't heavy on your feet. They are a sheer delight to walk in, very close to bedroom slippers and they'll do quite nicely when the snow starts to fly. They are truly nice boots. Thank you Zappos for your speedy service! The most comfortable walking shoe ever!!!Lightweight, lace to toe.
So it's easy to get them on. I have them in 3 colors they look better than wearing athletic shoes but they are as comfortable.

Ecco Mobile Are The Best -
I love the Ecco mobile. I have purchased the black and now the white shoe. I was a little concerned about the color of the white. It’s not pure shocking white, but this color works for me. The shoe is lightweight, it has very good support. I love this shoe, there is no breaking in period for me. Sure it cost a little more. I tried another brand that didn't work for me at all. I sent the other shoe back and ordered my mobile on a Monday at 5pm and was shocked to see them at my home when I got home from work the next day. It was like Zappos carried them home for me! I now buy all my shoes through Zappos.

This is my fourth pair of these wonderful shoes. As a nurse, you can imagine how much walking and standing I do. These shoes were wonderful from the first moment I tried on my first pair. My husband also has a pair of ECCOs that he has worn for 5 years. They are scuffed, but still going strong!

An ECCO shoe store in a mall in Mass. fit me with this shoe a few years ago. At the time I was having terrible foot problems. This shoe was so comfortable (lots of toe room which I needed) that I have since purchased seven pairs of this Ecco Mobile. This shoe cannot be found locally so it has been so convenient for me to be able to order it from Zappos. The service cannot be beat.

Fantastic great-fitting shoe -
My feet are very difficult to fit; my toes are on the wide side and my heels on the narrow side. As a result of poor-fitting shoes (difficult to find correct size) I have hammer-toes. These shoes are extraordinarily comfortable. I am on my second pair and find them only at Zappos. My work calls for me to be on my feet all the time - I can wear these shoes all day and my feet never hurt. Great arch support, too. And they even look good!

Not that great!
I ordered these in hopes that they would be a good all around shoe for my European vacation. They were too small (I wear an 11.5). I ordered a size 42, that is comparable to a US 11-11.5. They may be comfortable if you get the right size, but they were not attractive at all (I ordered the brown ones). I returned them (bless Zappos for their return policy).

 |  | I ordered some Globe Castros, but they were too big and so I needed to send them back. I was surprised at how customer friendly the instructions were and how quickly I was able to get my return label. Immediately after that I put another order except one size lower. Apparently I checked today and my item was put on priority with no extra cost. That is awesome customer service. Thanks Zappos team and continue providing this outstanding service!
