These boots are fantastic. Since I got them about 6 months ago, they hardly ever leave my feet. They look great, and are very comfortable. They tend to gather dirt after a while, so I advise getting some leather cleaner for them to keep them looking new.

My favorite boots ever! Had a pair of Fender boots that are about to give up the ghost. I've been eying these Frye boots for a few years now and finally broke down and treated myself. They fit well, are comfortable and very sharp.

Simply an Awesome Pair of Boots -
Boots are funny. Most are not going to be butter the first time you wear them. However it only took about an hour before my Frye Harness 8R's wrapped around my feet like a pair of comfy socks. I already had a pair of the brown in this style so I was confident that the blacks would fit as well. Frye does not disappoint! I love these boots for their fit and look.

Classic Style Boot -
Overall, after wearing the boot for a few weeks, I rate this highly. The heel area is loose, but I think a half size down would crowd the toe, so I'll be getting some inserts. The look is classic and will only improve as they get worn in.

I just received a replacement pair after my first pair lost a heel (Frye replaced the boots at no charge, no questions asked, incidentally), and, having traded in a pair I had been walking around in for over a year for a new, unfamiliar pair, I can sympathize with a lot of the reviewers that are complaining about size and comfort. Truthfully, any initial discomfort will go away after the boots are properly broken in. It may take a couple of days, even a week for the leather to bend and mold to your feet, but after it does, you'll see what I mean. These will become the most comfortable footwear you own.

Great boot, looks cool and feels comfortable - I have been searching for a boot that I can wear to work and also kick around in, these are comfortable and very well made. They rock. I am a jeans and t-shirt guy and these boots look hot.

Best boots ever -
This is my second pair of this particular boot in two years. I have a pair in brown and now black, and I have never loved a pair of boots more. They are perfect. I am a hairstylist and I stand all day long, and these never give a minute of grief. I ordered my most recent pair from Zappos.com and received them in less than 30 hours.

Frye's Boot -
While it is always a gamble to order shoes online, I was extremely happy with the results. The Frye boots were in perfect condition and I was very happy with the look and fit of the boot.

Unusual fit -
I normally wear size 11.5 or 12, but the only size I could fit into was a size 13. I feel like Frankenstein walking around in them as they are big boots.

My first Frye boot -
Was looking for a harness boot and decided to try one of the classics. Super sturdy boot, built like a tank. Runs true to size but pretty roomy (seems maybe wider in the heel than most boots?). To me, it's not very refined, but is fairly versatile. Better for jeans than a suit, for sure.
Pretty comfortable, but I have been wearing Blundstones for several years and there is not much that can match them. I look forward to wearing the Fryes for years, as I am sure they will only get better looking and more comfortable with age.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Dressier: Varvatos harness. Other Fryes seem similar - bulletproof and heavy.

Ugh!
The boots looked nice and the leather seemed to be of good quality, but after wearing them all day I noticed my one foot started going numb. The boots were cut differently and the one boot was tighter where the strap goes over the top of the foot. It is so uncomfortable I can't even wear them any more. Now, after an hour or so, my foot literally starts throbbing. I wear 11 1/2-12, I got the 12 and they are definitely too tight. At least one is.

The last boots you'll ever need?
I know these words aren't the ones that a shoe retailer would want to hear, but these may very well be the last boots you'll ever need:
They look great (with a pretty timeless look) and go with just about anything, they're quite comfortable (once broken in, see below), and are built like tanks.
The sizing seems accurate, and the width seems a bit narrow, which for me works just fine. Bear in mind that they need a bit of breaking in. The first day, my heels were lifting out of them. A day or two later ended with some foot tenderness (no blisters). From there on out, they fit like a dream. Oh, and unless you are used to walking in somewhat raised heels, other shoes are going to feel really weird.
Anyhow, the 5 stars I gave across the boards aren't hyperbole...

Rugged quality boot.....
This boot is easy to slip on. Compared to my other boots it did require using a thinner sock. It could be the harness construction or maybe the stiffness of new leather. Nonetheless, it is a great, sturdy boot by far!!!

Frye makes a great boot. Comfortable,durable, and extreamly well made. This boot isn't as wide as I thought it would be. I own another pair of Frye's but they run a little wider than these do. These fit a little better than the others.

The best boots out there!
Frye boots are without a doubt the best boots I have ever run across. I have a pair of Frye's that I purchased 20 years ago and they are still in great shape. I purchased some other boots at the same time I purchased these. The Frye boots were more comfortable (slightly wider), used thicker leather, and were just made better. They do run a tad bit wider and longer (maybe 1/2 size). I usually wear between a 9.5 and 10 and ordered 9.5. They fit great! These are some great boots that look fantastic. I ordered the Gaucho color as well but my wife said they just looked plain so I'm staying with the black.
Also - Zappos is fantastic to order from. You may be able to finder shoes cheaper (like on Ebay) but where else can you order, take 365 days to decide if you like them, get price protection, free shipping, and sometimes even free overnight shipping (Zappos upgraded my Frye boot order to free overnight!). I'm a Zappos customer for life!

Sexy boots -
Really hot boots. Seen the boots Hugh Jackman wears in X3? Well, they're Frye boots. The build quality is top-notch (the same or better than boots costing double $$$ or more).
The boot takes a little breaking in but is pretty flexible right out of the box. There's no padding on the heel, only the forefoot, so I got some gel heel cups and that worked fine! Also, the soles are really hard and you get that heavy clunking with each step, but they will sure last for a LONG time.

"Great boots"
The boots fit well enough to wear on the first day all day. They were a little tight at first, but as the day continued, they fit better and better. I will buy another pair, when ever I see them in a different color.

This is the third time Ive bought these Frye boots. I have never worn a better boot. Highest quality imaginable. Tight at first but the will conform nicely. Truly timeless design.

Short boot--not short on Quality and Good Looks -
I bought this boot for riding my motorcycle. It is very comfortable and the rubber sole helps me keep my balance when stopped or "walking" the bike. They are a bit tight putting on and taking off because of the strap across the top. There is not much give there. It does scrape the top of my feet. These boots are solid and rugged, yet comfortable right out of the box-no break in required. I would recommend this classic boot to anyone looking for comfort, quality, durability, and good looks.

I normally where an 11. I had to return the 11's for a 10 1/2. They are narrower at first but widen within a couple of days. They are great boots.

For a 12 they are just a tad tight, even though I wear other shoes in size 12 and they feel perfect. Being a tad tight makes it a little uncomfortable (after long periods) and a pain to put on. Great shoes nevertheless; They look great!

I was so genuinely impressed that I wanted to send you all a note of thanks. Thanks for being the genuine article! My entire adult work life I have tried to promote a happy, customer focused work environment. While I have always been extremely productive from being authentic and caring, certain supervisors looked at my ways as being suspect and a little weird. Yes, it's true they felt a respectful, caring attitude was a waste of time and actually did not care if their current customers were satisfied. How they didn't equate that current happy customers equals monetary success now and later through referrals is still beyond me. They also never "got it" that their incredibly high employee turnover cost them dearly. Trained, happy people produce positive results. I worked with a company as a manager for the past 8 years that went through 29 managers in the 2 locations closest to me in my 1st two years of employment. Finally I decided to leave after not being able to effect positive change in my boss. Amazingly at Zappos the positive goes CEO down and back up - way to go! Being the eccentric optimist I am, I left my job and figured I'd have a great job in no time. Unfortunately, I am still looking for a positive, proactive position and was getting a little blue until I read the article tonight about Zappos. The great news is that my faith has been restored. There actually is a company that values what is really important and not just in a PR lip-service kind of way. I wish you all enormous success, big bucks, and happiness. I hope that your corporate culture spreads out like wild-fire to other businesses so that people like me who live it and believe it can experience it in our careers. If my husband wasn't off serving in Iraq, I'd probably be there beating down the door for a job, but it is in extremely bad form to sell the house and move away while the husband is out of the country for a year.
