Love these shoes! They\'re a perfect blend of dressy and casual for pretty much anything. They look exactly as they do online, and they\'re sturdy too, as my husband is pretty hard on his shoes. Thumbs up for Clarks and thumbs up for Zappos, my fave online shoe retailer! (Got here in one day and we didn\'t pay extra!)

Extremely fast shipping! Great authentic shoes and the fit was perfect. My Clarks shoes are the only ones I can wear (not including sneakers) without having to buy those expensive insoles for comfort.

Excellent show, these are my now 4th pair of Desert Treks. I purchased the new ones to replace the 1st pair I ever bought in 1999. That's right, 10 years of casual wear. I can't say enough good things out this shoe. They are not super comfy right out of the box, but after a day or so of wear they break in to conform to your foot. The looks are classic and I always receive compliments from people when I wear them. Now, sizing: I wear an 11 (44/N) in Birkenstocks and 11 in most athletic shoes and these fit true to size for me. I wear these more than my Birkenstock London's and that's saying something when a company can compete with Birkenstock comfort.

Over 35 years -
I've been wearing treks and wallabbees for over 35 years. (While still in high school) My son who is twenty four used to tease me about not changing my style. He has been wearing them for nine years now and alot of his friends like the shoes, after all they are "retro" for the surf crowd.

Great Shoe!
The Desert Trek is a great shoe. It is built in such a way that it gives your foot and toes lots of room. The only concern I have is that it's a little uncomfortable at the back of my heel. I'm sure that it will get better in a few days.

This is the perfect shoe for that casual look with jeans. It’s perfect for those guys in their 30's like me that don't wear sneakers unless they're working out. Goes perfect with jeans, and everybody was digging my Clarks when I wore them for the 1st time. They feel and look like expensive plush shoes with your jeans. The comfort of a slipper and the look of a millionaire. I might get another pair for the future, just in case they become an instant classic, like Jordan's that go for ridiculous prices now.

Clark's Desert Trek -
Clark's have always been a comfortable shoe for me. Clark's have always maintained shoes true to size. I wear orthotics in all my shoes and this is very important. However, as an orthotic wearer, crepe soles are a little too flexible. They could use a little more support.

This is my third pair of these, so obviously I like them a lot. I am very flat footed and must wear orthotics in everything. With these, I have room for the orthotics and the toe box is very roomy. I only wish they came in more colors (navy, loden).

my mom bought me a pair of these shoes when i was a senior in high school, they cost 45 dollars, a lot of money 30 years ago! they are hard to find in my area. i called the clark company and they gave me zappos we site, great web site for a great shoe! just ordered my first black pair.

Would have been good...
When I ordered these shoes they were pictured on the website with a light-colored sole. When I received them, they had a black sole as pictured here. They fit great and were really comfortable but I just didn't want to black sole so I returned them for a the beeswax leather which are great.

First of all Zappos delivered my shoes in one buisness day which is incredible. The shoes fit great and this shoe is the most comfortable shoe you can find. The toe room is spacious and it fits like a glove. Thanks Zappos for the fast service and a great shoe.

For my second pair of Treks, I went with my size of 10. I wore a smaller 9.5, comfortably, in my first pair, but have since worn several pairs of Birkenstocks and prefer a roomier fit. So, if you like a closer (but still comfortable) fit, go a half size smaller than your normal size. If you like a little more wiggle room in the toe, order your "normal" size. Your heel might slip for a few days, but nothing unbearable.
These are great shoes, absolutely stylin' and very comfortable. Also, this is my first Zappos order and will not be my last. Exceptional service, including the return of a different size. They make it so easy, and the free shipping is great. I received my shoes the day after I ordered. Just great!

Kind of Deformed...
I bought these for my husband because he loves the look of the shoe; however, one shoe was uncomfortable for him because it seemed to be a bit deformed. Now I realize these are hand-made, and not every shoe is identical, but this was actually hurting his foot. I was going to send them back, but before I had the chance, I caught him sporting his new, deformed Clarks anyway. I guess he's going to grin and bare it, so it must be tolerable.

Great, classic shoe.
I've always been a fan of these shoes, but until now have never actually bought a pair. Initially, I thought they were a little narrow and felt some bulges on the inside pinching around the middle of my foot. But after a few days of break in, they feel great and fit perfectly. They are comfortable shoes and I love the classic style, although as expected for an old-school shoe like this they lack the real plush comfort of a more modern boot. All in all, you can't go wrong with a classic shoe like this and they have become my favorites.

After having ordered 6 different pairs of shoes and returning 4 of them I finally found a pair that fit a was durable at the same time. In the end, after all of the returns and reorders and mailing, the only cost to me was the price of the two pairs of shoes. You can't go wrong when you order shoes from these guys. Even delivery time was cut down to 2 days. I don't know how they do it, but I wish other companies that sell goods on the internet could figure it out like Zappos did!

I'm a diehard Camper shoe wearer but when I saw this shoe on the site, I thought, "Wow, that's a rad shoe." When I received the shoe and put it on I said, "Wow, this is a rad shoe." It took a few days to get a good feel for the soles but now they're great. I get lot's of compliments. Also, it seemed like the shoes arrived the day after I ordered them. Thanks Zappos.

I originally ordered the shoe in a women's ten but found it was way too narrow. As the shoe is not made in a larger women's size, I looked into men's at local stores to find my size (which none of them seemed to have). From many different sizes that were available to me, I guessed I was a men's 9 1/2 which seemed crazy but I ordered them through Zappos anyways. I am in love with the shoe, it is adorable and makes me smile when I see my feet, which sounds silly but even more than that, I am in love with Zappos. I ordered another pair of shoes from a different company a week earlier and found that they arrived a week after my Zappos order. Zappos took back the women's ten that did not fit and quickly sent me new shoes. Zappos is unbelievably friendly and just plain wonderful. So thank you for making me smile :)
