I love this shoe! It is great right out of the box. I have pretty average feet, but I demand comfort and walking distance right out of the box. I don't believe in "breaking in" shoes. I now own three pairs of this shoe and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. I recently broke my ankle and leg pretty severely and find the arch support and design just right for optimum walking. I walk miles a day as a lifestyle of running errands and enjoyment.

These are great shoes. Comfortable and good for walking. The toe box has plenty of room, the length and width are as advertised, the support system is wonderful and provides a sturdy and steady platform. I have had several foot surgeries and weak ankles and these shoes compensate for all of that. Will accommodate a light or heavy sock.

Love these shoes! I have them in 3 different colors/fabric, and I get endless compliments on them. Even in a size 9.5 they are stylish and very comfortable, true to Merrell standards. I would highly recommend and Zappos is the place to buy shoes!

OK, my foot's narrow so I probably shouldn't have even ordered these but I thought the strap might allow for snugging the shoe up. No. It's wide and sloppy looking on me and feels too open for winter. Not as cute in person; maybe I'm not a big fan of the Mary Jane style. In my experience Merrill's are always well made and they have great balance. My ankles are weak and I don't think I have ever turned one in the Merrill's I have.

This are one of the most comfortable shoes I own. They were great right from the start. I have had them for a year now and they are still in great shape. I thought the wool would wear quickly, but they look like new still.

I already had and LOVE the plain black (not wool) Encore MJ, so I was pretty sure these would be great too. They are. They\'ll be great with jeans and I\'ll add socks and life will be beautiful.\r\nWhat I also need to say is that Zappos is just incredible on shipping! I ordered these shoes last night a little before midnight. I chose regular, free shipping. They arrived today sometime before I came home just after noon! I don\'t even understand how that is possible! \r\nKeep it up, Zappos! \r\n

This shoe is cute and comfortable. They\'re best worn with some kind of sock as I found the first day I wore them out I had some rubbing and got a small blister on my heel, but I had been walking all day. Very roomy in the toe. I would get another pair.

Comfortable Support with Style... Yes!
These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. It's rare that a shoe can feel right with a sock and barefoot, this one works well both ways. I took them on a vacation and ended up wearing them every day, somehow the dark charcoal color (not really black as in description) and felted texture worked very well with everything I had, skirts as well as pants and jeans. The design of this model came highly recommended by my osteopath. The heels are somehow balanced for the way women tend to shift their weight when walking. I mostly wear MBT's for daily use in the city and these are as good for a fraction of the price. A good buy!

Merrell does it again -
Just take them out of the box, slip them on, and go! Merrell makes a sole that is a perfect fit for my feet. I got these it the green wool, and they are soooo comfortable. The only strange thing about them is is I wear them with no knee highs or hoes, and they make a squeeky noise at the heel! I've been finding colors in my wardrobe to wear with them every day.

These shoes are perfect. I have very tender feet and I got these and put them on went on a weekend trip to San Francisco. I wore them the whole time (except while I was in bed!) up and down hills and the park and everywhere my feet took us. I hope there is a plain leather in this style.

Very cute with lots of compliments -
Very light weight yet supportive food bed. I got the brindle wool grey color - it's great for jeans and grey slacks at work. I usually need Danskos or other heavy foot bed support - but these do well to help my feet feel comfortable all day. I have a bunion on one foot and sore foot pads from bad posture - these do not hurt my foot pads in front - I can wear them all day and they are cute too!

Merrell does it again! Just received a pair of these shoes in gray and love them. They are very comfortable and look great. Fit like a slip-on type clog so are loose on the heel which I like a lot though some might not.

Merrell, for once, strikes out -
I love Merrells. They are the only brand that consistently fits my feet. Therefore, I was quite disappointed in these. The strap attachment created a bump that I felt and that was quite uncomfortable for me. Dang. Had to send them back.

I liked the way these shoes looked (brown with dark red velveteen trim), but was skeptical, since I can't stand mules or backless clogs, or anything that flips and flops. The little bit of a back to these shoes plus the strap gives me the security I want. They're exactly right. It's been cold here, and these are wonderfully warm.

Winter surprise!
Got these shoes just before a snow storm. Surprised at the excellent non-slip sole. Managed parking lots with ice and snow; no problem. (Still need boots for deep snow). Loved the comfort instantly. Also cute!

Very comfortable, sensible shoes -
I like slip-ons that will take my orthotics, and these fit the bill. Merrell's seems to make consistently comfy shoes. They are very comfortable and they are attractive but in a "sensible shoe" sort of way.

Great Slip-on that Stays on!
Very comfortable shoe. Love the rubber bottom, like a gym shoe. I work retail and am on my feet for 8 hours or climbing a ladder in the back room. I switch between my MBTs, Dansko or Merrell's. These are a favorite! Great shoe!

I am so satisfied with the quality of this shoe that I have several pairs. I even introduced them to my sister (age75) they are so comfortable that you forget you have them on. The support is fantastic. As for the service, I give 10 stars!!

These were too busy and colorful for me in the earth wool (brown & red). My feet felt exposed more in these than in other mules because of the mary jane style.

Cute for work -
I need a slip on for work and these are just right. They look cute with pants and especially nice with skirts and tights. I thought they would be "woolier" inside, but the wooly part is only on the outside. Still they are easy to slip on and comfortable for all day on my feet. I broke my right foot a few years ago and since then I have had a really hard time finding shoes that fit. Gone are the days of pointy toe high heels for me. These really are adorable and one of the few pairs of shoes that don't have to go back. Merrell size 8 always works for me.

Comfy and warm, except...
These shoes are warm and comfortable. They are tight across the foot where the binding comes across the front. It takes a long time to stretch this out. The inside support is wonderful. I can walk a long way with no plantar fasciitis symptoms.

Merrell Encore wool -
Same wonderful comfort as all Merrells, but I like the look and love that the wool goes well with varying color shades of pants. I'm a nurse and I usually need orthotic inserts and with Merrills I can get by without them - great arch and heel support.

I am very happy with this bag. I ordered the black. I'm tall and the shoulder strap fits perfectly across my body, even with a thick coat. Unstuffed, the bag lies flat and is not heavy. I love the way you can unhook the long strap and fold it in half to become a clutch (a magnet keeps it folded). My only complaints are small ones: magazines are too tall to fit - you have to keep it unzipped. Shorter ones will fit with it zipped if you have nothing else in the bag. My other wish is that it had an exterior pocket to stuff a newspaper into. All in all, great bag and looks much more expensive than it is!
