This is THE sandal to wear girls, if you want a dressy city shoe, with plenty of width in the ball of the foot area. Yes, the buckle really does adjust, but I can’t imagine anyone using it on any, but the tightest setting, as I have a high arch and when I tried loosening the buckle, the sandal just flopped around on my foot. I usually find wedges to be one of the most comfortable shoes around, no spiky heels to fight uneven pavement, and this one is no exception. Maybe it’s my age, but I find the older I get (yes, I’m above 39), the more I like a wide base to walk on. I also found this runs a bit long, so you might want to order down 1/2 size.

I order a lot of shoes online, and was having difficulty finding a navy sandal for an outdoor, farm wedding. I was happy to find the Ekanta--they were both cute and the heel was a good height. When they arrived the next day, I tried them on and initially had a little trouble keeping them on my feet while walking! They were a little slick. After a while they seemed fine. Although I definitely realized that they couldn't be worn with stockings, like many sandals--trouble keeping them on. I took them to the wedding, and I must admit that these were probably the most uncomfortable shoes ever! Not only were they rubbing my toes horribly, there was no way I could dance in them. I would have returned them but it was too late...

Unfortunately, these shoes are darling, but poorly designed. The toe-portion is far too long - sticks out almost an inch past toes. I have regular toes, neither short nor long - these shoes are only appropriate for those with very long toes... Sad, because they are perfect otherwise.

These are beautiful sandals! I spend a lot of money on shoes (mostly through Zappos, of course) and these are great quality for the price. The leather smelled heavenly right out of the box. I ordered the Navy and they are really pretty. I have kind of wide feet so I ordered them in the wide width - glad I did because I think the medium width would have pinched my toes. Plus, the buckle is really a buckle and you can adjust the top strap to fit your foot - when was the last time you saw that on a shoe at this price?

 |  | I just called Zappos to ask questions about shoe width (I need a wider size) and a rep helped me to find some boots that come in wide sizes, of which I ordered two pair. She was very helpful and friendly, and also upgraded me to VIP status. I'm THRILLED that my order will come tomorrow! And my return will be sped up as well. Thanks to the rep for doing a great job!
