I received a text message from my daughter, who is attends college in Pittsburgh, one day pointing me toward these boots as a birthday present. Much to her surprise they arrived at her apartment the next day. She tells me they are wonderfully comfortable, and warm, and best of all, her roommate covets them!
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Indigo is also a great brand

These boots are perfect. I tried on so many pairs of boots and could not find a pair that was just right until I found these. I bought them in the grey. They are true to size and extremely comfortable and very stylish. I have a muscular calf, so a lot of boots don\'t fit me, but these are just the right height, and wide enough that I could tuck in skinny jeans, too; and they actually make my legs look thinner! I wear them with leggings or tights and long tunics, they look fantastic.

These are a brushed, suede-like fabric, extremely soft and very warm. If you are expecting leather, this will disappoint, but the fabric itself is very nice, if one takes that into account - I actually prefer this because of muddy and wet conditions. The sole is truly flat and rubbery, with plenty of traction. Easy to walk in, and very VERY comfortable. Would work well in slippery conditions, though hardly water-resistant boots. Sole is padded pretty well, more so than in most boots of the style. Also, the shape of the foot area of the boot is so superior to the majority of similar styles. Very sleek, feminine shaped foot, not at all clumsy or clunky. This was the biggest reason I chose this boot. Effortless slouch, but not too slouchy. Stands nearly as high as measurement suggests. All in all, EXTREMELY happy, knowing what to expect. Very light. I think if you do not expect real suede you will be pleased.

When my pair of boots arrived in less than perfect condition, I had hoped to exchange them for a new pair. Unfortunately, you were out of stock. A wonderful representative offered tips on how to clean up the boots, offered to search other stores to see if they had the boots in stock, and even asked if I would like a refund before returning the boots! I decided to keep the boots for a few more days, as I was not interested in purchasing from another retailer. Luckily, Zappos received more boots in stock within the week. Another rep sent my order straight away and ensured that the new pair were in perfect condition. Best yet - they sent the new pair with overnight shipping!
