These shoes are so cute. I had to go up a size because my size was not available, but I added an insole and they are great. They are very comfortable No break in time. The leather is soft, but still stiff enough to hold the shape of the shoes. I love them!

I am in love with these shoes! As a long-time devotee of Sperry Top-Siders, it was love at first sight with this Chukka version. J.Crew recently came out with their own version, which they call "iconic". Is it really? I have no idea. For what it's worth, my pair came with a tag that reads "VINTAGE SELECTIONS: Inspired by Sperry Top-Sider's historic product archives". What I do know is that these are my new favorites, even more than the Made in USA Polo bean blucher knock-offs I recently acquired. These Chukkas are as comfortable as my regular Top-Siders, but with a more secure fit due to the higher top and lacing. Yet, they're not cut too high, either, just below the ankle to be exact, so they don't restrict and they're not sloppy, like Clarks desert boots tend to be. Plus, these seem to be made out of a higher-grade leather than Sperry's standard fare. They get a demerit for the fact that the 360-degree lacing is only decorative and not function, as it is on standard boat shoes, but that's not a big deal to me, despite my purist tendencies. This shoe is just too good in the looks and feel departments for me to care.

 |  | You're pretty awesome. Let me count the ways: 1. You make it easy for me to find great shoes. That should be enough. BUT I SOLDIER ON. 2. Pretty darn good website. There are lil' bugs here and there (sometimes narrowing a search doesn't totally work, but for the most part it does), but comparing you folks to some other nightmarish sites I've used, especially with the sheer amount of product you have for me to see...well done. 3. Convenience. HOLY CONVENIENCE, BATMAN! Much like Ian McKaye of the band Fugazi, I am a patient boy, I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait, I'll wait. But when I order from you I don't have to. I've had shoes get to me so fast I actually thought there must have been a mistake because it got to me TOO quickly. Guys, that is some serious service. This is why I buy shoes exclusively from you. 4. Customer Service. I had a store credit recently, but like an idiot, I deleted the email with the credit code. I called up and talked to a totally friendly, funny, helpful guy. He said he'd take care of emailing me the code and all would be right with the world. OH NOES! The email, actually never showed up. So I called back and spoke with a totally friendly, funny, helpful girl (with a completely pretty voice, I'll be honest) and she got me a coupon code while I was on the phone (THAT'S good turnaround) and explained that there were the dreaded *technical difficulties* and the other dude didn't actually screw up. Guys, I've never talked to a company on the phone and ended with such a good feeling. I have friends that I don't enjoy talking to on the phone that much. Close friends. Is it ok if I just call to talk sometime? I'm kidding. Maybe. 5. You ALL seem to have a sense of humor. You guys are frakkin' funny! Your email, any of the “dig deeper” sort of stuff (blogs, joke of the day, etc.). That is beyond refreshing, thank you so much :) Honestly, as long as you guys are around, you got my bidness.
