These are my favorite sandals this summer; a graceful "gladiator" style, that works with any style of clothing. The color is black, but I would describe it as more of a brown/black. I appreciate that there is no thong between the toes, and all of the straps are adjustable. I had to re-order a half size down (which was perfect) and Zappos provided advance credit on the pair I was returning, so there was no additional outlay of money. Zappos has really mastered customer service.

Very attractive shoe on the foot. Runs a little wide. I needed to adjust all of the buckles to the tightest setting.

Very cute, but not for long walks...
I was looking for a more delicate looking gladiator and these sandals definitely fit the bill. The gold is really pretty, more like a muted coppery snakeskin! My foot is very narrow and it was easy to add new holes to all the straps. Still, they are very flat and I think I will need to add one of those small paste-in dress shoe/open shoe insoles to make them a little more comfortable.

 |  | My first experience with Zappos.com was during the winter a few years ago when I needed a pair of silver sandals to wear during the holidays. I saw Zappos.com advertised at the airport and thought to see what they were about. The rest is history. During that search for sandals I had as many as nine pairs here to try. They came the day after I ordered them via FedEx and those I didn't choose (I ended up with two pairs) I put back in the box, taped it shut, attached the prepared return label they had enclosed with the shipment, and dropped them off at the packaging store that same day. They were gone almost as easily as walking away from a pile of tried on rejects in the department store! Since then I use them more than 70% of the time when I am shoe shopping. There really isn't anything quite like trying on shoes with the clothes in my closet as well as trying for fit and comfort. It's an ideal way to buy shoes and I highly recommend it!
