Ow! They are gorgeous, but the leather is stiff as a board, and hard to wiggle your foot in. When I finally got the boot on, it was so narrow, it killed my toes. It's also "short"; it pressed down on the top of my foot. Ow! Seriously, I tore them off as fast as I could. I usually wear a 7M; I ordered a 7 1/2 in this boot, I should have had plenty of room. It's a boot that might be comfortable if and only if it fits your foot perfectly, there's no give in the leather.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Born Lewisa's are just as stylish but much more comfortable

I searched for boots for quite some time, and after returning others that were too small in the calf to zip, I took a chance on these. Not only is the style of the boot classic and well designed, but the boots fit perfect and are comfortable to wear. They look wonderful with my winter skirts and tights and have just the right heel height and heft to be practical in our winter weather here in the northwest.\r\n

Love these boots! The stretch panel in the calf is perfect for my wider calves (16.5), and makes the boots comfortable and well-fitted. The ankle is slightly loose on me, but not enough to matter. Best of all, the rubber sole and heel give me a feeling of traction, stability, and comfort instead of feeling like I'm tottering around in high, uncomfortable heels on wet pavement. Yet they look great with dresses, skirts and boot-cut jeans. However, with the wide elastic gore in the back, these boots are too fitted to stuff your jeans into unless you have pretty skinny calves; leggings and tights are fine, though. If you are a comfort-shoe lover who also longs for fashion, these boots are an excellent solution!

Outstanding service as usual! I ordered these boots last night around 9 pm and received them today by 4 pm. Amazing! The boots are really comfortable and fit over my big runner's calves. I do have narrow ankles so the boots are a bit big by the ankle, but at this price, who cares! Good value for the money. You can wear with a dress, skirt or jeans. They fit true to size, too.

These boots are stylish and comfortable and look expensive; the sole is thick and the heel is not too high but could have been slightly wider at its base. This is the only minor quibble I have with these boots, and yet I am able to wear them all day long and am fine walking from building to building and standing all day in them. The fit around the calf works well with the stretchy fabric. No break-in time; they fit properly from minute one. They are warm but not overly so. All in all, I love these boots and highly recommend them.

Great boot. I searched everywhere for a nice comfortable, black leather boot and stumbled upon these at a Clark store. I really like this boot, and the only thing I would have liked was an extra 1/2 inch of heel. Other than that, this is a really nice classic boot that one can fit jeans in or wear with skirts. It feels very comfortable and I can't wait to sport them.

 |  | I just wanted to say how much I love Zappos and your customer service. I recently had an order of 4 pairs of shoes. I knew if they didn't work out I could return them without any problems or questions. Luckily I liked all the shoes. But best of all you shipped them all in one large box which was really convenient because I didn't have to wait for 4 shipments.
