Love the boots. Very comfy, although rather tall. A bit tight around the calves; I'm 5'3" and 120 lbs. The color is a beautiful dynamic gray.

The Hunter boots are fantastic! They are not only wonderful for rain & snow (especially nice for cold weather with the Welly socks), but they are fashionable to boot! I originally ordered a size too big, but customer service was great - I called to reorder & arranged the exchange. The exact size I needed arrived the next day.

These are wonderful! At the moment I can't decide which to keep: the original or these original gloss ones! I recommend buying your normal size and 1 size down (if you're a half size, order size up and down). This should save you some trouble. And you should order the liners to see if they'll work for the size you think you want. I'm about to order my normal size to compare the 1 size down. Zappos is amazing and always provides me great service!

My calves are curvy, not particularly slender. My kids have run off with my tape measure, otherwise I would measure. I'm a size 10 in pants & I am 5' 7 1/2". I bought this type of boot from Zappos; they arrived the next day! I bought them in black. I wore them when it was so rainy. I wore them to church with black tights & a black knee-length pencil skirt. I got so many compliments on these boots! I thought they would be basic boots. Well, Rachel Zoe recommended them on her e-mail; and they were less expensive through Zappos than another website I checked. They are a bit tight around my calves, but it keeps the rain from getting in. They are about 3 or 4 inches below my knee. They also have some ankle definition. I like the glossy look, too. Shiny rain boots. What fun! Prepare for some compliments. I have a bit of trouble getting them off from around my calf, but if I am patient & jiggle, it works in a little while. They are maybe slightly wide from side to side in the foot; but then again, it gives room for warm socks if it's cold outside.

Love these boots! They are slightly shorter and have a slightly larger calf circumference than the original Hunter boots. Love the color and gloss, it makes them cute and girly. I wear a size 9.5, and I bought a 9 - they fit great!

A life saver at a music fest this summer! Comfortable and easy to clean. My regular size felt huge but they worked out great. I\'m glad I didn\'t size down.

With the caveat that I haven't had a chance to wear them in the rain yet, these boots are really cute. I definitely recommend the gloss, as the regular can look slightly waxy in person. I'm 5'5" and have what I consider to be thick calves in that most boots are a struggle to zip up over pants. These boots fit fine in the length and the width and have more than enough room for pants. The long socks will also help putting them on with pants, since there is no zipper obviously to allow for tucking pants into them prior to putting them on. They are definitely big and bulky in the ankle area but they are designed to look that way so it will be a matter of preference for you if you're used to very slim fitting sleek boots. I can't wait for it to rain (and I've been a Southern California girl for 12 years before moving up north so that's saying a lot. I hate rain.)!

Great boots! Incredible quality and cool blue-gray color! Choose one size smaller than your regular size for the perfect fit. I love them so much that I will buy the kids version for my daughters, too.

After much deliberation between the Gloss and Original, I purchased this boot in black. The color is a rich black, and so far does not have any of the white marks I have seen on the Original boots. I normally wear a size 6-6.5 and purchased a 5, which fits perfectly. My only complaints is that the shaft is snug.

Bought these for a trip to Portland! These are my 2nd pair of Hunter Wellies. The Gloss doesn't get chalky like the original wellies do. These are the most comfortable boots. I wish I could wear them every day! Sizing perfect and you will have these forever!

These boots are superlative in every way. Right out of the box they are comfortable, extremely durable, and gorgeous. They exude class and distinction but are utilitarian. I will keep them for the remainder of my life because they are timeless. In fact, every time I wear them I receive compliments from not only women but, incidentally, men (some of whom unexpectedly launch into recollections about their Hunters). Expect attention and smiles of recognition when you wear them. The size 38 pair fit my size 7.5 feet perfectly; and I found that as a 5'3" woman, the height of the boots were comfortable. Of course, I have to mention the wonderful customer service. Next to having the boots beamed to me at home, they were waiting for me less than 24 hours after I hit the "send" button. Truly, these boots and Zappos are worth your time, attention and hard-earned resources.

Love these boots! They are really comfy to wear all day. I typically wear a 7.5-8 and got them in a 7 so when I put on socks they are perfect. I also ordered the Welly Socks/Liners. Some people complained about them, but they are not supposed to be socks, just liners for the boot to insulate. I wear a normal pair of socks under them because the liners are loose and not meant to fit like a sock. Overall, I love them and am thinking about getting them in another color!

I was so excited to get these boots as I am in love with wellies and how dry they keep your feet despite the slush so often found in the midwest. When I got them I put them on only to find they barely fit over my calves with no socks (I am very athletic and have larger than normal calves), but if you do as well, take care to take into account when looking at these boots. If you have skinny calves and have no problem getting into any tall boots, then these would be beautiful! I loved the beige coloring; I'm just sad they didn't fit!

I ordered the Hunter Original Gloss boots in Lava after much agonizing over which rain boots to buy. I am so pleased with them! The color pops, especially on cloudy days, and I wear them with everything. My only warnings are beware if you have short legs; the top of the shaft may rub your knees, and the shaft definitely fits closer than some of the other reviews indicated. Otherwise, the boots fit beautifully. I hope to have room for the wellie socks!

I no longer dread rainy days! I am in love with my new hunter boots original gloss. They definitely run a 1/2 size + big. I typically wear 7 1/2, but decided to get the 7. They are a little big, but the 6 were a little small so I've got some room, but I'm super happy with them.

I am thrilled with my Hunter Original Gloss boots! I was very anxious to get them. Amazingly enough, they came the day after I ordered them! (You can\'t beat that for service!) I was very nervous about the size issue, but I went with the other reviews and ordered down a size. (For me, that meant going down a full size.) They fit perfectly, even with heavy socks!) I can\'t imagine how huge they would be if I had gotten my normal size. Even with going a full size smaller, there is a little slip in the heel without my socks! There is also plenty of room for my jeans to be tucked in. I am petite (5\'4\'\', with very short legs) Because of this, I went with the gloss boot rather than the regular Original because the shaft is a good bit shorter.\r\n\r\nThe boots are beautiful and I can\'t wait to wear them! I love my Hunter boots! I ordered the violet gloss and they are gorgeous, fun, and comfortable. I am known for kicking off my shoes at the first available opportunity, but I want to keep these on all the time! If only it would rain more. The first time I wore them was to a football game with lots of walking and standing. No blisters or discomfort at all and lots of compliments! The violet color looks just like in the picture.

Love these boots! The "Lava" color is just as i expected and the shininess makes them extra fun. I wear a size 8 1/2 shoe and I bought the size 8 boot. Fits perfectly with a thick pair of socks. I haven\'t taken them off since I tried them on; I just keep walking around the house in them.

These boots are fantastic. I am in college and walking around a snowy campus these keep my feet warm and dry. They need the fleece liners for warmth, without them there is just the rubber shell. If you are getting the liners I would recommend going a size up. I am usually a 6, but the liners bunched inside. I sent them back and got a size 7 and they are perfect!

I love these boots! I have the original gloss in beige. The picture provided doesn't show its true color, though. Instead, product was quite a bit darker than the image shown. I am 7.5 and ordered the 7, and everything it fits extremely well. There is just enough space left so when worn with skinny jeans and socks, the boot is flush around the pant. I love these boots, and thankful that I do not have to walk around in wet tennis shoes anymore! 4 stars because I would like more arch support.

I wore these to an all day horse race tailgate party in 3 foot deep mud and walked a mile to the races and a mile home and after 10 hours of walking in the mud, walking around the races, etc. I was amazed at how comfortable these were. I felt like I had slippers on. I could have kept wearing them indefinitely! A real quality boot! I would never buy another brand or type of wellie boot again. Well worth the investment. You get what you pay for here. Tip: wear heavy wool socks or thick socks for optimum comfort in these or the welly socks they sell. These boots are merely a shell on the inside, not insulated, but that's okay, a good pair of socks and you're on your way! The boot really hugs your feet, great support.

I love these boots. Unfortunately everyone else on my campus has them, so they're definitely not original. They fit great, once you figure out to order a size smaller than your normal size (I'm normally an 11, but I wear size 10 in these boots quite comfortably). The fit on the calves is great, and part of the reason why I got them. I have them in beige, which is not as light as I expected, but still fine.
