My 5 year old daughter has a history of destroying the toe bed of shoes within the first two months of wearing them. She is extremely active. I bought these shoes in early September and they look as good as the day we received them. They have totally withstood her running, jumping, climbing, falling, etc. There is zero wear to the toe area. She also loves the way they look and says that they help with running because they are "sticky" on the bottom. We like them so much that we are getting a second pair in another color (we have the purple). Overall, a great shoe!

My daughter loves these. Prettier than a sneaker, but just as functional. She does not wear them in water, but just wears them as regular footwear with socks. Very durable. Easy to put on and velcro stays closed.

Update: My daughter has worn the heck out of these shoes (she won't wear sandals, so these have been her summer and school shoes). There are small nicks on the front toes and most of the wear is showing in the fabric below the ankle, but they have worn very well. Wish Merrell would come out with more styles and colors (white or silver/gold?). I like the shoes with more clean lines, that go with pants or casual dresses. My daughter loves Merrells and we love Zappos!

Picked these up for my daughter last spring and they were perfect summer shoes. She wore them every day and they held up really well. She absolutely loves them. They are meant for water, but make great all around warm weather shoes.

These are great shoes. They are great for outdoor use. These are great for playing in the water and running on the trails. They look cute with dresses , shorts and jeans. You can remove the insoles to dry if they get wet and you can wash them with a sponge if they get muddy and they still look cute. They are comfortable for her. The only thing I do not like is her feet sweat while wearing them and they smell. They do not have the ventilation that I thought they would for a sandal.

Great shoes! My 6yr.old daughter wears them every day to camp. They are comfortable with or without socks. They can get wet, and dry quickly.\r\nI recommend them, especially for school/camp.

Ok, so I sent these back because I didn’t think they went with casual dresses, but I came back to them. They are an outstanding shoe, very breathable (though my daughter won’t wear them without socks). Love the colors and my daughter never says anything about shoes, the other day she said, “Mom, I like these Merrells". Seem to run about 1/2 size small, got a 13 1/2 instead of the normal 13, glad I did. We have had them for a couple of months now and the only signs of wear are on the material edging the top of the shoe (is getting a little dirty). Gave up trying to find sandals to fit her, so these are a great substitute(can also wear them to school in the fall). Colorwise they go with everything(bought the pink and purple ones). Are a little pricey, but would rather spend more on shoes than clothes.

These little girls’ shoes are excellent. Am very pleased with the fit and the style. My daughter absolutely loves them and they pair nicely with jeans and dresses.

Such cute colors these come in and love that they have them in half sizes now. Seem very well made, too. The only reason I sent these back was that they don't go with casual dresses. A little too sporty for us, but still a wonderful shoe (especially love the blue/purple combo).

Adorable and well-fitting -
Do you also have a daughter with ridiculously hard-to-fit feet? I was tired of giving away shoes all the time, so I went back to the original. Merrels. They are so cute, and they can be adjusted so nicely that even a narrow foot like my daughter's can fit nicely.

Great shoes! Stylish yet functional. Can replace sneakers in the summer and won't have to wear socks in hot weather. Mesh to keep feet cool. My daughter has wide feed and she says there are very comfortable.

Great for Water Aerobics -
These shoes fit well. And most importantly, there are no seams on any of the interior surfaces of the shoes. So, when jumping around in the pool during the class, nothing is rubbing the heel or top side of my foot. I originally ordered a pair of Teva's, but returned them because they have lots of exposed seams that gave me blisters. I usually wear an adult size 5, but ordered these shoes in kids size 3 and the fit was great.

Pretty Tough Shoes for Active Little Girls -
These shoes go from "sparkle princess" to "Tom-boy jungle gym" in the blink of an eye. With frilly socks and a dress or skirt the shoes look like the cutest lavender Mary Janes. Under jeans they look like rugged hikers. With a bathing suit at the beach they look like water shoes. Talk about versatility! My daughter loves these shoes and hardly takes them off. I asked her what she likes best about them and she replies, "I like them because they can get wet and still look pretty." I think the shoes are practically perfect!

Great for narrow feet -
I ordered about 12 pairs of shoes in search of a summer playground/hiking shoe for my 5yr old with very narrow feet/heels. This one (in pink) was the winner. It fits her wonderfully and she seems to find them to be comfortable.
