Awesome bag. Large enough for all my school books, plus folders. I am a college student with lots of books, but didn't want to drag along a rolling suitcase so I opted for the larger carry bag. It is lightweight. The strap is wide enough so it doesn't cut into your shoulder. A nice looking bag.

MY son requested the Timbuktu2 large messenger bag. I was surpristed to find that there is NO Corduroy, waterproof-lined laptop compartment which is supposed to double as storage for files, magazines and paperwork. Also, no "complete laptop protection" or any laptop protection at all. It is a stylish canvas bag with a few compartments and zippers.

Perfect bag!
This Large Classic Messenger is perfectly sized for a weekends worth of clothes. If you are on the fence about the size of this bag, check out Timbuk2's website for their 'toilet paper roll' sizing chart. I can easily fit a pair of shoes, a couple pairs of paints, a good number of shirts, and my toiletry bag with room to spare. The strap pad adds a nice bit of comfort, especially when carrying a packed bag for 20 NYC blocks. The interior compartment pockets are a godsend for keeping small stuff very accessible... Plenty of room for pens, iPods, and misc other goodies you need at a moment’s notice. There are 2 zippered compartments (one small and one medium size) on interior too. This bag is replacing a similar bag that I've had for the past 15 years. Quality is an understatement.
