The most comfortable running shoes I've ever worn. Fit perfect out of the box and offered excellent support (I'm a medium overpronator) during my first run. Infinitely superior to the more expensive Puma Cells I'd been wearing before.

I'm really impressed with this shoe. I tried on half a dozen or so high end running shoe, but I wanted something that would provide optimal support and eco-responsibility so I went for this END shoe. My first though upon the shoe's arrival was that I understand why running shoes are ugly. These ones are so good looking that I didn't want to use them for running. They're great looking for any type of sneakers. But being always conscious of my health, I decided to run in them anyways. They feel absolutely fantastic to run in. The fit glove like, and they encourage a running motion. I find myself jogging to my car, around the house, in grocery store. These shoes make me want to run which means I'll definitely use them. My only concern with them is that they're so porous that running in the rain doesn't really seem like a possibility. That's a big deal being from Seattle, but a trail running shoe should be used in the rain so come rainy season, I'll have to buy a new pair of trail running shoe from END. My recommendation is to buy a pair of END shoes: make shoe production more efficient and your run more enjoyable.

Pleasant surprise -
This is a very lightweight (10.5 oz in size 12... compared to 10.75 for my Nike Lunar Trainers) medially posted performance trainer. 5 miles is generally too soon to say much, but it's enough to know if they work or not. This is certainly one of the most comfortable/proper fitting shoes I've ever tried (used thick trail socks); I would imagine this is the kind of fit that can righteously be called glovelike (I have a narrowish foot). This shoe also may be the most comfortable I've ever run in and the level of cushioning in such a lightweight shoe is remarkable. It rides a bit like a lighter Nike Span 4 which is very good for me since that shoe is my favorite running shoe in the last several years. If you didn't notice on the picture, there is a very large/long medial post in this shoe, which is uncommon (I think) for a performance type shoe, but boy does it sure work for me without feeling obtrusive. Very cool. The cupped design of the EVA around the heel area (built up on the sides) made for a very secure heel fit which I'm sure contributed to the smooth ride. The toe box, though not overly roomy, is smooth and soft with no overlays or seams whatsoever and feels terrific. Of note, there is no plastic bridge device here at all and the stock insole is substantial enough and the arch contour high enough that I didn't feel the need to replace it, as I usually do. The only 2 things I can think of to say on the negative side is that I can't imagine the upper being durable. I think it's just too minimalistic (no overlays) and lightweight to last for the longhaul
and the other thing is that it has a soft heel counter, sort of like a water shoe, so I'm worried that for long runs I may need more support than it can provide. Time will tell, but so far this is a shoe I am really excited about.
