I\'ve never bought a high end pair of work boots until now, but I am very glad I bought these. The less expensive pairs I bought before had mud or snow cake up in the sole enough to make me lose balance, they were slippery on smooth wood, they were heavy, I added extra cushioning to them and they leaked. The soles on these don\'t collect as much mud, traction is as good as I can expect, they\'re light, they are well cushioned and no leaks so far, but I haven\'t had them that long. I think they didn\'t need any break in time at all, if they did it was only one day.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Double H - I bought the low end, $50 cheaper than these. All the same qualities as I mentioned above, but they are heavier and require a lot of break in time
