I particularly like these for walking to the office; they don't look as bulky and peculiar with regular pants as athletic shoes do. At the same time, however they look very good with jeans or casual pants. I find them very comfortable and supportive; however, you need to order half a size larger that you regularly take and possibly a whole size larger if you intend to wear them with thick socks.

The shoe fits roomy, I usually have to buy a wide shoe, but with Merrell, I don’t. The leather is a bit stiff and does require some break-in time, but the midsole is ever so cushy. Very comfy once worn for a bit. Has more lateral support than most Merrells I have worn.

 |  | I want to tell you a story. I was born with two club feet and while I have done my share of dancing, hiking, and generally having fun with feet that work okay, the many operations left them rather unpretty, a little misshapen and definitely wider/shorter than most feet in proportion to the carrying bodies. Finding shoes that fit and are comfortable is a rarity for me. I search through stores regularly, more often than not
leaving empty handed. I took a chance with Zappos. There were some excellent deals and the size claimed to be what I might need. A box arrived. It said "Packed with Happiness." Inside was my order – 4 pairs of shoes and a pair of boots. They not only all fit, they all fit amazingly well. The box may very well have been packed with happiness, but let me tell you, not as much happiness as it was opened with!!! Thank you oh so much. You can't imagine what this is for me.
