Got these boots to wear to an outdoor wedding in the fall. They were quite comfortable and kept me at least warm enough not to think about being cold. I generally wear a size 9 shoe but found the 9.5 fit more comfortably, especially with thick socks. If I got a 10, I\'d probably put an insert to cushion the bottom a little more. Overall though great.

These are the most comfortable boots ever. I tried over a dozen pairs of boots until I finally settled on these. I recently broke my back and had to find cute shoes without a high heel. I can stand for hours in these without any pain and my feet never hurt the next day. I gave them a 4 on style because the calf is just a bit big, but I have large feet for my size and maybe they\'d fit a taller person. I can still wear them with leggings or underneath a pair of jeans. The toe and sole are less bulky than many boots, so they work with my suit pants, too! The buckles add a classy touch. All Ariat seem to run about a half size large. I\'m normally a 9.5, but I purchased the 9s and they fit perfectly. I would highly recommend them to someone who is looking for stylish, comfortable boots.

This is a real boot. I ride, so I wear a lot of Ariat boots and this one is right in line with their ability to produce a great fitting, comfortable, real (read excellent craftsmanship) boot. I didn't find the shaft too narrow as some reviewers indicated. I have average calves, I believe, and the boot actually fit perfectly. I had tried on a few pairs built for thicker calves and they made me look thick and short, to be avoided at all costs. The height and sleek look of this boot is perfect.

These boots are beautiful. The size is perfect, both length and width. And they are very comfortable. I'm a long-time (frequent) customer of Zappos and I couldn't be more pleased with their service.

Only if you have a skinny calf!
I just received a pair of the black leather Ariat boots in the mail. They are beautiful - the quality of the leather is really nice. Unfortunately though, they are too small in the calf. I ordered the size 7. I have 14" calves, and although the description says the boots fit up to 15", they will not zip up for me. Too bad! They are lovely looking, but will have to go back.

So far, so good -
I have only tried these on but they fit beautifully and are very comfortable. I like that the leather is soft and comfortable as well as having "stress marks" throughout so I won't worry about scuffing them.

Cute boots -
I bought these boots for a trip I was taking to Chicago. I wanted something that would be comfortable enough to walk in, but super cute as well. They held true to the cute-factor... but after about two hours of walking I started getting blisters on both my heels. I might have been wearing too thick of socks, but either way, I had to take them off.

Measure your calves!
I have been searching for boots all winter. This is a great looking boot and was backordered for a couple of weeks until I could order it. It looks great; unfortunately, I could not zip it up. I am not a heavy gal. I walk/jog 1/2 marathons, so I have athletic calves and I could not get them up. Very disappointing...maybe next year someone will come out with pull up boots or wider circumferences...until then no boots.

Love these boots!!!
I tried 2 other styles that I sent back before I found these. I absolutely love them. They are so comfortable and have received many compliments the first time I wore them. Zappos.com is awesome with the purchase and return process. They are so quick in shipping the boots and it's wonderful how easy it is to return them. I am thinking about buying the black pair also.

Great boots!
I love these boots! These are very comfy, I wear them all the time. They are also very stylish… they look great with jeans tucked in and also look good with skirts. I have worn them in the snow in Colorado and they still look great!

Great Boot -
I got this boot in brown (because Zappos was out of the black). Two days after I received the brown, Zappos emailed me that they now had black. So of course I had to order them. Assuming, originally that I would send back the brown. But instead I kept both!! Couldn't afford either. So that's how much I loved them!!

Great Value -
These are great boots for walking around the city in the winter (and I do a LOT of walking). They have great support and cushioning. I've worn it with dresses/skirts as well as jeans and have heard many compliments. I ordered both the brown and the black boots but the black ones weren't as beautiful as the brown ones. For the price, you cannot get a pair of boots of similar quality. I'd definitely recommend these boots to everyone.

Perfect for a classic riding boot -
Very comfortable too! But I wanted something a little more funky and fun. These were too "classic" for me but felt really good. Also I have skinny calves so the 15" circumference had too much gap for wearing with shorter skirts.

Exceeded my expectations!
The instant I put these boots on I knew they were keepers! They are classic in style, with rich supple leather. I have never felt boots that were as comfortable as these. The boots conformed perfectly to my feet. I highly recommend these boots. Based on Zappos overnight shipping and overall customer service I may buy all future shoes from them!!!

Almost great - I love your boots, but with one reservation. While there is a gusset at the top of the boot to zip them up over the to of the calf, it is cut off by a horizontal seam, at exactly the widest point of the calf, so it is hard zipping the boot past this point. If the seam were even 1/2 inch lower, the boot would be a dream. Other than that, very nice boots.

All around great boot -
I live in Europe in a walking city with many cobble stone streets. This boot is perfect for me. It's stylish and comfortable, and there is no breaking in period. The quality of the leather is excellent, but they do scuff quite easily. I spent a lot of time on the Zappos website looking at boots and reading reviews. I appreciate the time other customers took to write reviews, and as a result, I think I made an excellent choice.

Beautiful boots! Great fit and great customer service. My first order was mistakenly sent to an incorrect address and Zappos sent a replacement pair right away to me! These can be worn with skirts or jeans and can be worn with jeans tucked in -- which is what I was looking for. These are also very comfortable for walking. I love these boots!!! I always had problems finding shoes and especially boots that are comfortable; all the ones that I tried before were painful - but these are great. I work in a store and I have to stand and walk for up to 8 hours and these boots felt super comfortable since the first day I wore them (not to mention the fact that they are warm, which is very important since I live in a place where it's cold and where it snows a lot). Plus, the leather is soft and nice and the style is very modern. I recommend these boots to everyone.

BOOT LOVE!!!
i absolutely ADORE these boots. I put them on in my office when they arrived, and couldn't bear to take them off. I've worn them 4 times in 5 days. They got me home during last Thursday's blizzard when I’d forgotten to wear snow boots. Saturday night i planned my whole outfit around them. The soles are thick and comfortable, there's plenty of toe room (I did go down a half size). Bonus - they have great arch support. And looks? Every time I wear them I get compliments from friends and even strangers. Perfect combination of rugged and stylish. they work with skirts, they work with leggings, they work with jeans. Last but not least, they fit my calves - apparently I have narrow calves, because I've sent back 3 pairs that did not fit. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! THANK YOU ZAPPOS!

Great Boot -
I have been looking for a basic boot for a while, something that did not have really high heel. These boots are perfect with skirts and jeans and are VERY comfortable. No need to go up on size, true fit.

Fit my calves!
They are very pretty, and I can tuck in my jeans! I wear a 9-9.5 shoe size and have a little bigger calves at 16". They fit well and look great!

What great boots-They were perfect for Europe!!!!
What great boots for three weeks in Europe!!! I bought them in black and brown. They went to France, Sweden and Lodon with me. They were great for walking around alot, and looked very stylish as well. I put them with skirts and tights. Straight leg jeans and sweater dresses. It was cold, and they were warm!!! I tried several pair on before picking these. You will love them too!!!

Do not buy!
These shoes, despite their beauty, are poorly made. I had mine for less than a week when the bottom heel came off! I had only wore them a few times. The construction is shoddy in the heel as well. While they look as beautiful as pictured, they are not comfortable and they are already falling apart after one week. For this price, that is ridiculous. They should stick to working shoes.

These feel great. My foot is a bit wide, but I still have room for a warm sock. Top fits a little snug. Excellent for all day walking (right out of the box). Be prepared for the question:" Where did you get those?" Lot's of compliments. Zappos was outstanding - thank you customer service! I recommend Zappos to everyone!

 |  | I can't thank you enough! I have always had a difficult time finding comfortable shoes because I have a very narrow foot. I now have a medical foot issue that has progressed to the point of needing to replace nearly all of my shoes with relatively flat, well-made (translation: expensive) shoes to enable me just to walk without excessive pain. Needless to say, it is difficult to know immediately if a given shoe will both fit my narrow foot and not cause a great deal of pain after an hour of wear. Your free-return policy has been a true blessing to me. It is not easy to spend $170.00 on a pair of shoes that may hurt my feet after an hour and be unwearable if those shoes cannot be returned easily. The specialty shoe store in my area is great, but they offer a limited selection and any special orders can only be returned with a 15% restocking fee. Other online shoe stores require me to pay the return shipping fee and cannot begin to match the customer service that you provide. This can get costly and time consuming when one has the type of issues I have and needs to replace an entire wardrobe of shoes with well-built shoes. I have to say, even if I did not have foot issues, Zappos would be my shoe store for the selection and great customer service alone. Additionally, you offer such quick shipping, the best customer service I have found in as long as I can remember and great selection. I am incredibly happy that I was told about Zappos. You have simplified this part of my life, and believe me, with my foot pain, that is a very large part of my life. I have written other thank you notes to Zappos as well, but I wanted to send a special note of thanks for the quick shipping. I will continue to rave about Zappos to friends and family!
