I loved the Merrells I bought through Zappos. This was my first experience buying shoes on-line. It was awesome! I wear an 8.5, but the review said they ran narrow at the toes. Since I wear a full orthodic, this confirmed that I should buy the bigger size. They are so comfortable. Love the shoes! Love Zappos!

They were cute and all, but just didn\'t fit well. The toe area had too low of a roof, if you will. I had to send \'em back, which Zappos makes very easy.

Like all Merrell shoes these seem to be very well made. The stitching is solid, the leather is a nice quality, and the pattern is very cute. They don't look like it, but they have coordinating rubber guards on the toe cap, along the edges, and on the heel. (A must if your a huge klutz like me!) They fit true to size, but might be a bit narrow for folks with wider feet. The factory insoles are so-so, but the rubber outer-sole is very grippy, but non-marking. Although they kind of remind me of bowling shoes, I really like them and I'd recommend them.

Originally ordered the 8, found the toe box unusually shallow, perhaps it’s made that way to achieve the sleek design. Thought an 8.5 might fix that problem, which it did, but then the rest of the shoe felt a bit big. This is a great looking design if it fits you. There is a nice subtle stitching in blue and dark tan thread on the black version that would look great with jeans, and with the tan rubber sole, this black shoe would even work with khakis and browns.

I\'ve had quite a few Merrells and these are the first that my true size 8 won\'t fit. These are very sleek and narrow and elegant for a casual lace up shoe. You can loosen the laces for width, but the toe box is very shallow. Although long enough, the toe box isn\'t tall enough. But they are a really great looking winter shoe with good tread, lightweight but warm, and they don\'t make your feet look big. I\'m going to try the 8.5.
