These boots are perfect for my picky 8 year old. She normally has a bit of a wide foot, but these med width boots do very well for her. We both really like the grey shade too. She will probably wear them at least one to two times a week during the fall/winter.

I am constantly buying boots for my five year old daughter, in hopes that one day I would find something stylish AND comfortable. Finally, we have found them! She has worn these boots almost every day since they arrived a few weeks ago, and we can’t go anywhere without people commenting on how adorable they are and asking where we got them. They are easy for her to put on herself and the fit was perfect. She’s been wearing them a lot with dresses and tights and it’s SO CUTE!

I love these boots in gray (and would love them in my size!). Unfortunately, when I ordered them for my 3-year-old daughter, she rebuffed them. "They're pirate boots," she said.

Feminine yet funky! I first stumbled upon these sweet boots while shopping at a department store and, of course, they were sold out in my daughter's size; even the next 2 sizes up. So, of course, when I returned home, I went straight to Zappos; "the" shoe shopping source for my family and found an extra color that the other store didn't even have, which is typical for almost every shoe I have purchased from Zappos! That's the best thing about Zappos; they order every color available! I quickly grabbed the last pair in the amazingly gorgeous gray (in 10) and received them within a blink, as usual! My daughter tried them on, she's a 9, (these don't start sizing until a 10) and they fit her perfectly (with a little shoe petal inside plus tights, etc.). To my utter delight, my little 6-year-old tomboy didn't want to take them off! We usually buy L'amour or Primigi brand boots which are a little shorter in the shaft, but these are too fun and not too tall at all (about 2/3 up the calf, if that) if you are worried about that! So, they still show off those fab tights you bought for her. My daughter was twirling in front of her mirror, which she rarely does, and I truly had to chase her down to get them off of her in case she scuffed them before I can get them sprayed. We live in L.A., so inclement weather isn't a problem with suede, but this suede is super-high quality and I believe they will hold up nicely wherever you happen to live in our beautiful country! We love them so much that we bought the brown pair the next day and will most likely buy the black even though we have an ankle boot from L'amour in black for her this season. I adore the idea of these with pretty dresses and skirt outfits, at least that's what I bought them for and they look funky yet feminine which is great; they're truly much more feminine in person! Buy them! If you don't like them, Zappos will happily return them for an entire year (unworn, of course) for free, so you really can't go wrong, can you? And we all know the stellar reputation of Stride Rite. I wore them as a kid and I'm 39! Hope this review helps you decide; they are a definite essential in my daughter's Fall wardrobe and I'm considering buying a larger size so she has them for the next few years. Now, go and buy them! The price can't be beat.

 |  | Dear Zappos, Okay, help me understand something. I place an on-line order last evening at about 8:00. I screw up how to use my store credit and can’t figure out how to fix it. I resort to calling your toll free number to fix my stupid mistake and expect to be on hold for at least 20 minutes. Wow is all I can say! A real live person answers the phone in two rings after I debated with myself whether or not to press the option for joke of the day. He corrects my problem and even makes the decision to not charge my credit card for the less than $2 difference between my store credit and the amount due for the running shoes I ordered. On top of this, the shoes were sitting on my doorstep tonight after I came home from work. I even wore them for my evening workout. How dare you do this in less than 20 hours after my mistake! You just set the customer service pole vault bar at 37 feet in my book! Terrific, terrific service. Thank you very much! I now consider myself a customer for life. You all will have to work very hard to make me buy a pair of shoes from another company. I’m new to Zappos and you can bet I will be looking to Zappos for other purchases! Many thanks... my next order will be tomorrow evening so I can surprise my wife with a new pair of Berks she wants, but actually needs... it isn’t always good to want things!
