1/2 size up at least. I ordered this in a 9, having tried on another color in a store. I also have the Earth style "Salsa" and that fits in an 8. In both cases an 8-1/2, my true size, would not have fit properly. And Earth sandals at least are very, very narrow, which is why I like them. They don’t look orthopedic, but I have a narrow foot and more often than not for 40 years, I have been plagued by the curse of the "only comes in Medium Width" shoe. A person with a normal width would be hard pressed to get these to fit.

These sandals are very comfortable, hug the sole of your foot, you can walk forever in these. The only thing I didn’t like was the silver finish in the toe area is wearing off, but who sees that when you have them on.

Too tight -
I just got these today and it does seem as if the back elastic pulls the thong between my toes. But I am sure the elastic will stretch and this problem will go away. I ordered a 1/2 size up and they fit very well.

Awesome materials and design. Really stay on your feet. Only problem I have with them is the width. Very narrow. Wish they were available in wide. Thanks Zappos for your AWESOME service! Wish you'd expand to other product lines. :)

Although these are cute shoes, the negative heel pulled the elastic backwards and the thong pulled uncomfortable between the toes. I returned and bought the patent leather Birks instead...

LOVE these shoes -
First pair of Earth shoes and I just love them. They are very comfortable on your feet. I usually wear an 8 and I ordered a half size up. Good thing I did because the 8.5 fits great. Very stylish and comfortable. AND a huge thanks to Zappos for the speedy shipping. I ordered these shoes on a Thursday night and got them the very next day. You have a customer for life.

Maybe I should have tried the 12??? I am an 11.5 Narrow, but some Earth sandals fit in an 11M, but not this one. The elastic seemed soft and comfy, but I had my big toes and bunionettes hanging off the sides. It was bizarre. I do have feet shaped like a slice of thin crust pizza, but Earth shapes usually contain me just fine. So sad, but these had to go back.

This is the first pair of Earth shoes I purchased and I love them! They look so good on your feet -- picture does not do them justice. I plan to buy more styles of this brand.

Expanse for your toes--a toe-curling experience.
Expanse give my toes the freedom to wiggle and there's no ridge on the front to make them hurt and Expanse fits my difficult-to-fit narrow foot nicely as the sleek comfortable elastic makes my foot look dainty and keeps these flip-flops from flopping around. There's a slight ridge between the ball of the foot and the toes that helps to keep my toes from sliding forward which is helpful with my very narrow feet that tend to dangle over the front of sandals. Expanse is very light, the next best thing to going barefoot, and the insert in the arch and sole is wicking and so should be comfortable without socks. The metallic leather could be dressy, I think, but it is a low-sheen metallic that could be O.K. for daytime also. The soles are very flexible. My 9 and 3/4 inch foot fit into a size 8 perfectly. Expanse looks much more impressive in person than in the photo and I'm quite certain guys with a foot fetish will be sneaking a few looky-looks at your pinkies in these very attractive sandals.

Cute shoe. Order 1/2 size up or you'll have a bit of pain between big toe and other toes.

 |  | Wow. Now THAT'S service. My husband has used your shoes for the past few years, since he found this particular Nike brand that worked well. He's retiring on the 30th after 32 years with UPS (never took a sick day, never missed work, and never had an accident or injury. He was last year's Utah Driver of the Year) and I told him he just HAD to get some new shoes for the occasion. They'll honor him for a few minutes before everyone takes off for the work day, so we were worried if they'd get here in time. He's told lots of UPS'ers about his shoes, and your site.
