When it's time for new shoes for two teenage boys, we find that the easiest way to shop is online, ordering a variety of sizes and brands and returning what doesn't work. We stumbled upon these inadvertently and they turned out to be a hit. We enjoyed the serendipity of not knowing what exactly we were getting in a "recycled" shoe. This is a great quality shoe and my 13 year old loves them. They have just the right balance of coolness and not too outrageous (no pink or neon colors). Take advantage of the Zappos free shipping both ways - you do not have much to lose.

So far I love the shoes; I haven't actually got around to skating them yet. The only thing I'm worried about is the toe part seems a little thin, but there is always shoe goo. The shoe looks great though and has nice padding.

Barbara p seems to have missed out on the fact that it’s standard to wear skate shoes out in 2 months, but these are great: the idea behind recycling material is great for the planet, they’re lightweight for vulc shoes, and they look fly.

Great Shoe -
This is a great shoe, but people don't realize skate shoes rip. This is a thin shoe and if you skate everyday like me, they will probably last maybe a month.

This shoe is personally one of my favourites! I love how the shoe is recycled materials that were just left over. The grip on the bottom is very grippy and durable, and the leather lasts very long for me and when I do high ollies. If the shoes start to rip, then that can easily be repaired with some shoe goo, or some duct tape. That’s what I do.

Best Skate Shoe -
Super comfortable. The right amount of padding and excellent looks. I think they run a half size big. So if you wear an 8, you might want to order a 7.5. These are definitely the best skate shoes I ever used. Very lightweight, too. You will have a lot of board control and feel. Lakai really knows their game and as always, the quickness of Zappos shipping is mystifying. Thank you.

Bought this for my son. Looked nice out of the package but started to fall apart after about 2 weeks. It's now been just about 2 months. The shoe completely fell apart and is now unwearable.
