Love the shoes, they look great, no socks, toes are covered BUT, my kiddos can not wear these. They rub blisters on their feet. Bummer. As a mom, I really wanted these to work. We might try when they are older.

I bought these for my 8-year old who is extremely active. Flip flops weren't staying on his feet, and he was ruining sneakers in water and mud. He loves them and they rinse right off and look like new.

We bought Keens for the whole family for our trip to Yosemite and I have to say that these shoes are amazing. They are comfortable and offer a lot of support for hiking. Both my kids wore a 1/2 size larger Keen shoe than normal. I'd definitely recommend this shoe!

We absolutely love the original Newports from Keen. The reason we prefer these to the newer H2 design is for the very important reason that the original Newports do NOT have velcro. I know people find velcro convenient and all, especially for small children, but when you live in a rural area and you have lots of dirt and water in and on your shoes, velcro wears out so fast and then the shoes are useless. We love the original Newports because they are easy for children to put on themselves and they have a pull string tightener that keeps the shoe snug to their feet and we don\\\'t have to worry about the velcro losing its stick before the kids grow out of the shoes. I certainly hope that Keen continues to make the original Newports!!!

Thank you for continuing this style. I got my first pair about three years ago -youth - as I have a small foot - and I recently ordered a second pair as a backup. They have served me so well walking on cobblestone streets, with or without socks. \r\n\r\nI also recently ordered the Youth Hebrides hoping they would be bluer as my 11 yr old niece has a pair but although I was somewhat surprised at the color when I opened the box - I love them as they are sooo comfortable. if you ever make them in an olive green or the light blue I will be ordering them. Thank you so much for carrying my size.

My Son loves these, he has had 3 pairs in various colors over the last 5 years. We have tried other shoes, but always come back to these. They are great for everyday. They look smart, he can run, jump, skateboard and pretty much anything else he wants to. These shoes can be worn straight out of the box without any problems, no breaking in etc. They are so soft. Jesse's turned up and the following day he wore them to Six Flags no problem. I can't say enough about these shoes.

A shoe that's up for anything -
I bought these shoes for my son, who has a wide foot, and my daughter, who has a narrow foot. Because of the cording, the shoe can be adjusted to fit both of them, which is great. I love the versatility - my kids can wear them to school b/c they meet the gym coaches' requirement of a non-marking sole and toe protection, but they're as easy as sandals. And it's the perfect camp shoe.

My son LOVES these shoes and would wear them in the winter if he could. Very versatile, can go land/water. If they get sandy you can easily rinse them with water or wash them. Only thing is that my son has a narrow foot/ankle so these tend to run a little wide, but that hasn't been a problem. Did get a larger size as many people suggested.

The Keens are favored in our family because of their durability and long life. Even when the strap snaps, the shoe is able to live for much longer. It’s also a plus when retail stores GIVE you a replacement strap as well as install it for FREE! Only negative is the sweaty, stinky feet the rubber sole tends to cause. If it came with a cloth insole it would be a TERRIFIC shoe!

I ordered the Keen bungee in a size 2, which is the size my grandson usually wears. It was too small so I had to order a three. My grandson (8) really doesn't like this shoe for some reason. It has given him blisters and he can't wear them comfortably without socks. They are very good looking and easy to put on, but not comfortable for him.

My son loves this shoe. No straps to attach, just slip on and go... but he has said it makes his feet sweat. He is used to flip flops in our warm Houston weather.

Can't wear Crocs to school...
Now that the school has finally officially banned wearing Crocs to school, these were the only shoes that my son feels comfortable in. He is a boy that takes his shoes off as soon as he doesn't have to wear them anymore, so these were the perfect compromise for a boy who has restricted feet. They are also perfect for the rainy season here as they dry quickly and he doesn't have to worry if they get wet. The only problem he has is getting them on. They are a little tight to pull on, even with the string undone completely. However, he's getting the hang of it and will soon have them broken in the way he likes them. And best of all, all his friends at sleepaway camp had these because they are the coolest!

Great for kids!
We bought these for a camping trip and EuroDisney. They worked well, no problems with a picky child! I will be getting another pair for him soon!

I love these shoes. Great for summer time and outdoor activities. Worth the extra money for a water/outdoor shoe. The close-toe feature is also a bonus.

Keens are a wonderful shoe! They are comfortable and we buy a new pair each summer. If your child has narrow ankles, the back can slip, but still a great shoe. Great shoe for those with wide feet.

Nice shoe, but won't wear it -
This is a very good looking shoe, sturdy, good idea, etc, but my 5 - soon to be 6-year-old son will not wear them because they are too hard to get on and off by himself. He loved them once they were on - said they felt really good, but he also said he would not wear them because they take too long. So I gave this shoe 2 stars overall because what good is a shoe if you can't get your kid to wear it. So I purchased the style with velcro (H2) and he wears them all the time! I love them, too. They can get wet, muddy. He can wear them to Summer daycamp (since they are closed-toe), the tread has a good grip - perfect!

Poor design -
These shoes are extremely difficult to get on. The way the shoe is designed doesn't allow for the shoe to open up enough for my son to get his foot in without a struggle. I've purchased 3 pairs of Keen shoes in the past (all slightly different designs) that I was very pleased with. I think this model's design is flawed.

Son of a Sandal and a Sneaker -
This is the perfect hybrid play shoe for the summer. My kid loves them and unlike Crocs (his favorite from last year) they stay on his feet!
