First, this household orders from Zappos because we get what we order even before we expect delivery. This organization knows what it's doing, does it well, and has us hooked. Brooks athletic shoes are more than that; they are shoes that keep my feet in shape. The Dyad 5 is incredible. Take it out of the box, lace it up, and away you go, as if this had been your shoe for months. Comfortable, perfect fit, and the only problem with Brooks is the shoes wear so well, they last too long. I need to order new Brooks shoes before the old ones are worn out. It's a great problem to have. Zappos and Brooks: perfect partners for my feet!

I love these shoes. They are the perfect shoes for a heavy guy who is trying to lose weight who has wide feet. My inserts fit very well inside of them. My only issue with them is that the sole of the shoe tends to wear out faster then I think they should. I am getting about 200 miles of walking out of them before they need to be replace.

Great solid shoe. Purchased for everyday wear after owning Brooks for running. Comfortable and sturdy these shoes are an excellent buy. The orange is more subtle in person but still adds a nice dose of color.

These shoes are the most comfortable things I have ever put on my feet. As a person with wide flat feet who underpronates, it's hard to find a good shoe. I have found them now.

I was wearing the New Balance 1123 and felt it was too much shoe. The Brooks Dyad 5 was less shoe with appropriate support for my foot.

I'm a heavy guy with big flat feet. I'm not a runner. I need a stable, well cushioned supportive shoe, but I still have a neutral gait. Most heavy duty shoes (like the Brooks Beast, Asics Kayano) are hard on my knees. The New Balance 882 was my old standard. Now that Brooks makes the Dyad in 4E, I'm sold. I bought another pair.

This is an excellent shoe for a larger person with a fairly wide flat foot. The shoe is very stable and highly cushioned. This is not a good shoe for a person with a higher arch or curved foot since it is designed on a straight last (not curved).

My nursing colleagues rave about this Brand, so I thought I would try a pair. I ordered these because I liked the style, but they ran too small for me. I normally wear an 11 and ordered the 11 1/2-12 size 42 and they were still too small. The leather is very stiff/hard, and it hurts when your toes bump up against the front. I just can't figure out why anyone likes these hard shoes. The folks at Zappos never cease to amaze me-ordered Sat. and Monday they were at my door. Thank you Zappos.

I have purchased this sneaker for my son in the past. The manufacturer must have changed the last (width) of this shoe as he has always worn the 4E and it is too narrow, he was very disappointed.

just what I needed -
I needed a shoe to fit my wide, high instep feet. The Dyad5 gives me the cushioning I need and let's my rigid, somewhat inflexible feet roll more naturally.

Just ok shoe -
This shoe just wasn't that comfortable for me. I ordered as wide as I could get, but they are still not that wide. Not very cushioned either. I also didn't realize that the mesh would let in air. I guess that they would be ok for hot weather as long as you don't need width or good cushioning.

Best shoe out of the box I've ever worn. I'm a casual wearer, not a runner, but I require serious cushioning and this shoe has it. The fit is true.

Brooks Dyad 5 -
I had previously tried and was not impressed with various Brooks models. I found that the shoes did not fit all that well, caused aches and pains, and broke down quickly. Having a wide foot, and not being pleased with New Balance either, I decided to try the Dyad 5, based on reviews. The previous reviews were right on the money. The shoe is comfortable and well cushioned. The shoe is true to its size and has a good toe box. I've put this shoe through it's paces and it hasn't failed me yet. It's rugged, but it doesn't weigh a ton. Whatever Brooks did, or changed, I'm extremely happy with this shoe, as I am with Zappos. I'm constantly amazed at the selection, prices, and level of service that Zappos provides especially in today's world. You might save a dollar here or there, but you'll never beat Zappos on their customer service. Thanks!!!!

I have bunions on both sides of my feet. I have tried every shoe there is to try. They would get red and painful. My Doctor recommended Brooks shoes. They are the best my insoles form my foot Doctor fit great in them! I can't wear ladies shoes any more because my bunions. I have to wear a 4E width in men’s. With these shoes you don't have to break them in. Right from the box to your feet. Brooks shoe is the only shoe for me and Zappos is the only place I will buy them from!!

Although I have yet to find a shoe that gives me that ahhh feeling when I put them on, these are close. I bought these shoes for walking at Disney World (an average of 15 miles a day). I am a big guy and need that cushion feeling when I walk. Again, these are close but not exactly what I was looking for. I will keep them as they are a very comfortable shoe and the quality is excellent. My search goes on.

As a 62 year old jogger, and one who is just on my feet so much, this shoe has delivered as advertised. There is ample room for my orthotics, and the cushioning and support match the comfort. I actually look forward to putting my feet into these babies. Ah, the relief. As one who loves the New Balance 882, I have to say I am in love again. The Dyad 5 is a fit!

Very Pleased -
I have severe rheumatoid arthritis and it affects every joint in my body. These are the only "all day every day" shoes I have found. They are very comfortable and lightweight. I coach baseball and basketball and have to be on my feet, even when I am in pain, but the cushion in this shoe is amazing. I especially like the wider toe box to accommodate swelling that occurs during the day. I would highly recommend to anyone who has bad feet, knees, hips or back. I would purchase these again without question.

Great for flat feet -
I have flat feet. Really flat. These are far and away the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. More comfort & cushioning than I've ever seen. They're specifically built for people like me with flat feet. Finally, somebody made something for us! Zappos service is great. Always has been.
