I\'ve bought this brand over the years along with Brooks and New Balance. I expected the shoe to be comfortable, fairly cushiony with some decent support. This time I was really disappointed. This shoe is not any more comfortable than a cheaper shoe that is easy to get at one of the discount stores. I have narrow feet and so the fit is important. If it\'s not true narrow it quickly becomes too loose. Sorry to say I wouldn\'t buy this one again. It\'s a nice looking shoe. I wanted to have something besides a typical athletic shoe to wear with jeans and casual slacks. As an alternative, I tried using insoles to improve the feel. It doesn\'t work well with them either.

I have always wanted a pair of Rockports, and was excited to finally get a pair. I thought they would be the best shoe I have ever had. They are okay. These shoes come up a little too high on my foot for comfort. Since I do lots of kneeling in my job, the top of the tongue of the shoe causes some discomfort when kneeling. Also, the toe is wearing already because of all the kneeling I do. The arch support seemed no better than other shoes I have had, like Eastlands. I think my feet sweat less in them, is about the only difference between them and other shoes I have bought for work. Also, I thought Rockports were made in the USA, so I was not happy with that either.

The back of this shoe is totally non supportive, in that it smushes down when trying to put the shoe on. They do look nice. Having injured my leg, I am really no judge of distance walking, but with an orthotic, they offer nice support. I thought Rockport were made in Germany, but these were made in Vietnam.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE these shoes! I was looking for a shoe with superb comfort, arch support and durability with long day wearability for working out on my farm and around town use. 7N fits perfectly. Good looking shoe that somehow repels the dirt and can stand up to shoveling.

I purchased a pair of the chocolate nubuck after I had broken both of my ankles a couple months ago. When I was able to put 2 shoes on, I needed something that would give good support. Since the sides are just a little higher than some walking shoes, these were perfect, a little support to the ankles and comfort for my feet. I'm ready to get another pair in black.

This is my second pair of these shoes. I'm replacing the first pair after 7 years because the footbed isn't as supportive as it has been (due to 7 years of frequent wear). Otherwise, they're still in great shape. This is a very comfortable, supportive, and durable shoe.

More attractive than I expected (I got all 3 colors). The insole comes out and the inside is nice and flat to accomodate orthotics - I put Superfeet Green insoles in them (I have really bad feet). The support in the insoles they come with is pretty minimal. No steel shank or anything like that for extra stability, but still pretty darned good with the orthotics in them. They have enough height in the instep to accomodate my feet, which can be a problem, although for myself I can't lace up the top 2 lace holes, hurts the front of my foot (a problem I often have).

Great purchase!! Shoes are comfortable and I work 10 hour days. Louisiana is a humid and hot place and these shoes seem to let your feet breathe. Love them. Would recommend them to anyone who walks/stands a lot or works long hours.

I work in a Warehouse environment with nothing but concrete floors, and 8 hour shifts were killing my feet. I purchased these shoes and they have made a world of difference to my feet and legs.

Great comfortable shoe EXCEPT...
I have had these shoes for about 1 month. The tips of the soles are starting to come unglued, but I can fix that easily. I wear a 9W, need comfort and control. I ordered a 9W in these; it was too narrow so I got the 9WW. The toe box is narrow, which is the only problem with the width. Great comfort, great style, and great wearability. Needed insoles for extra cushioning!

I have purchased from Zappos before, and every time I get a great pair of shoes at a great price. These shoes are great if you are on your feet all day at work.

I sometimes have difficulty finding shoes that meet work requirements...brown or black polish-able leather, sturdy upper, non-skid sole. The Rockport World Classic is available in wide widths through most sizes. I find the shoes true to size. The shoes are so comfortable for a long a long work day that I often wear them for casual days also.

Rockport's World Tour Classic Review...
This is my 4th pair of this style of shoe. I have a wide foot and find it very hard to find comfortable shoes...this one hits the mark every time. These shoes last a long time...I still have my other 2 pairs that I purchased well over 9 yrs ago. They hold up very well. If you're looking for a shoe that's casual and comfortable this is the shoe for you. I wear them everyday!
