I love Zappos because of the faster than fast delivery and no shipping charges. They are, by far, the best company to deal with.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: I love new balance because they run in a narrow width.

I have a wide toe box and a narrow heel so it is difficult for me to find shoes, especially workout shoes, that work for me. I tried two other New Balance styles, a Ryka and an Asics. The NB WX1010 fits me very well and, as usual, returning the shoes that didn't work to Zappos was trouble-free.

I absolutely love these cross training shoes! I saw them recommended by a fitness trainer in a fitness magazine in May, 2009 and decided to try them. It is a bonus that they come in size 2A for my narrow feet because this is the first pair of athletic shoes that have really been truly comfortable in my over 25 years of consistent workouts. I wanted something I can wear for the gym group classes I take like Zumba, step and kick boxing; they are perfect for the plyometrics, dancing and lateral movements plus provide excellent arch and total foot support all around, with the latter assisted by the additional webbing feature of the shoe. I can also wear them back into the regular gym floor for my use of the various aerobic machines (treadmill, elliptical, rowing and bike) in addition to weight training. These shoes are really cute and stylish in the 2 pair of silver/cranberry color I now own. I just noticed there is a black/blue color I am hoping to find soon as well. I am a hard core gymrat and can't say enough kind words about the New Balance 1010s.

Not enough cushioning -
This shoe did not have enough cushioning for me in the forefoot area. The heel is also wide, and slipped. It’s a very flashy sliver and pink, which I liked, but wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea.

I ordered these as gym shoes, especially for indoor aerobics. Based on reviews of other New Balance trainers (there weren't any reviews of this model when I ordered), I ordered a 10.5W instead of my usual 10W. The width is good, but the shoes are a bit too long. The fit around the heel is nicely snug (but not too snug), and these do offer a lot of support for side-to-side motions. There is a ton of room in the toe box, though - even if the shoes were a half size smaller, the shape of the shoe is such that there would still be a lot of room around the toes. It takes some getting used to. As for the aesthetics, it's kind of so-so, but that doesn't bother me. I exercise in order to break a sweat and get my heart rate up, not to be noticed for my fashion sense.

Best shoe for those who really work out -
Best NB I have had! I LOVE the shoe, but the new laces are hard to loosen. However, they will NOT slip on you!!! This shoe out shines the previous 1009.

Another exam of New Balance great shoes -
Good shoe for good price. I always go up a 1/2 size with New Balance and have a great fit.

Not impressed -
Great service on Zappos part, but these shoes were not even close to what I was expecting. Especially considering the price. They have absolutely no arch support and they have WAY too much silver on them. The picture appears more white than silver to me, but they are not. I sent them back as soon as I opened the box. I also tried them on since they appeared big, and they are about 1/2 size larger than marked. I always wear a 7 and these fit more like a 7.5 or even an 8 to me.
