Absolutely perfect -
In the mid 70's, I worked for a clothing store in California. I bought a pair then. I just got rid of them a few weeks ago. They became too small. They are still in good condition albeit a few superficial scratches. Good sizing, good looks, good comfort as far as I’m concerned.

Heel too high -
Frye will not admit that they made the sole on the campus boot at least 1 1/2 inches higher than the same boots from a few years ago. You can hardly walk in these, they are like high heels. Too bad, because my first pair I loved.

Like a long lost friend rediscovered -
I have fond memories of the pair of Frye Campus 14L boots I owned back in the seventies/eighties. How time gets away from you..... Anyhow, I recently got the urge for tall boots, started digging around online and lo and behold - Frye still makes the same boots! Ordering from Zappos was a breeze - overnight delivery and no tax - how are you going to beat that? The quality and finish of these boots is far superior to any boots in a store. After one day these things are really comfortable and fit like a glove. Try them - you will love them. Thanks

Not comfy and No tread -
I nearly fell to my death the first time I tried to wear these boots. There is absolutely no tread. They are slick which is surprising for such a sturdy looking boot. There is also no real cushiness inside. For the $I was hoping for more.

Finally Frye Boots -
I had looked every where on the west coast for my husbands favorite boots. A friend told me to try Zappos and I am so glad that I did. The leather of the boots is like butter and the fit is perfect, even though his feet tend to need a wider size. The look of these boots are great and they will last forever!

Greatest Boots Ever!
These are the greatest boots ever made. They felt good right out of the box! No break-in. Frye's boots are hands down the very best! And Zappos are the greatest, too! Super fast service! I finally found them -
I wore these boots in the late 70's and early 80's - lasted for more than 9 years then not able to find them. Just bought a pair from Zappos - the shoes and service are outstanding! I receive many compliments on the boots.

Awesome boots -
I currently own four pairs of Frye boots, have bought seven pair since the 1970's. It is all I wear and they just keep getting better. A perfect fit everytime.

Felt half size smaller-
Great boot, however I wear a 12 in the Frye Harness boot and thought I would take the same size in the Campus, but I cannot even get the 12 on my foot, so I had to exchange for a 12.5. Zappos was a great online shopping experience, and I will definitely do business with Zappos again.

These boots were all that I remembered them being from years gone by, but that's not my reason for writing this review. I called customer service for help with a discrepency in delivery arrival date. They went to great extents to retrieve the information, they offered alternative methods to rectify the situation and even called me back the next day to see that everything was resolved to my satisfaction which it was. The delivery was one day late but during the long Thanksgiving weekend we all enjoyed. That one day was worth the wait. The boots I used to love were on my feet again.

I bought the "banana" color ones over a year ago. I love the simple yet sophisticated design. They've held up great. I feel like a cavalry officer every time I wear them, even when I'm wearing them with my sweat pants.

This is an excellent pair of boots. I bought the Campus 14L in saddle. I absolutly love the style, color, and everything about these. They are well worth every penny. I would buy another pair again!

I am a die hard fan of Fryes boots. Although I only owned a pair before. And this story is true. My work boots got stolen in my locker. Look around and found a pair of Frye boots in the dumpster tried it and it fit. Been wearing the same boots ever since, and I love it. That was 12 years ago.

I bought these boots for my husband, since he still talks about the pair of Fryes he owned once upon a time. He loves them, they fit great, are comfortable, he claims they've only gotten better. I own a pair as well, and have to admit, Fryes are worth the money.

Poor Quality -
Wore them for two months. These 14" boots are square-top with no V-relief, murder on shins, and these stayed stiff. Then they started squeaking and clicking. Can't return to Zappos if you actually _wear_ the boots, instead of just walking on carpet. Took them to a local boot shop, they told me the shank was broken or loose.
I called Frye, they were helpful. Had me return the first pair (they didn't offer to pay shipping), then they sent me a second pair. Well, the shank on one of the second pair clicked too. And one boot was much tighter than the other.
Called Frye again, again I paid for return shipping(!). This time I gave up and told them to send me a different model, obviously the Campus line was a mess. They sent me the 12" Harness boots.
These were better quality, but -- they are _much_ heavier than the Campus, they have rubber instead of leather soles (I far prefer leather), the soles are very thick and protrude way past the boot, heels are square and chunky... not a replacement for the Campus for sure.
No more Frye boots for me.

My second pair of Fryes -
I purchased the Frye belted harness a week ago and was so impressed I had to try the campus boot. It took a week to convince my wife I needed them. I like them even more. They're a softer leather so don't panic if they seem a little snug. You don't want them any bigger. They mold to your feet. I ordered them yesterday and they were here today. The UPS driver was amazed. He kept looking at the label shaking his head. Great service again.

Long wearing boots!
These boots last "forever". I purchased them to replace a pair which I bought in 1976. The boots themselves were still in solid condition, although I had had them re-heeled at least three times. They were just toe scuffed beyond good looks so I needed the new pair. Highly recommended!
