I love this bag! I work and take classes and needed something to carry around my laptop, a few books and a notebook. This bag works perfectly for what I need. Added bonus - the flap on the front (which only covers the small pouches) is magnetic, so it's quick and easy. You don't have to mess with straps or get your scarf and gloves caught on the velcro. The shoulder strap is adjustable and easy to change size, but secure once you find the length you like. Bag is very durable!

I am a petite, 5 feet tall girl and this bag is not overwhelming at all! I've been searching for the perfect bag that will fit my 15" Macbook Pro laptop and my school stuff (a pencil bag, 1" binder, a planner, two composition notebooks, a magazine, mp3 player, recorder, cell phone, lotion, safety goggles, bottle of hand sanitizer, a book, car keys and bottle of water; the only thing that doesn't fit is my lab coat) and not look like it's eating me alive. And I have found it! I have the gunmetal one and I really do appreciate the "curves" of the bag. It also feels very sturdy. When I don't have things like my binder and laptop, the bag neatly conforms to the curves of my body. My only gripe is that there is shoulder pad! The adjuster is located at a very uncomfortable position, right on top of my shoulder. I suppose Timbuk2 didn't include one because it's more under the category of a "tote" bag. Regardless, I love this bag. Also, I love Zappos! My order basically arrived the very next day. Thanks Zappos!

I have had this bag about two weeks now and I love it! I am an avid Timbuk2 fan, and have/have had many of their bags. However, now I am a graduate student and a little older, and carrying too much in my medium size messenger gives me back problems. I found the solution in this bag! With a laptop pocket for the days I need to take mine to campus, and a design that seems to expand perfectly to fit what you need, I can take all that I need, but not the extras we tend to throw in when given too much room. It's also a very attractive bag (I have the gunmetal) that works well as a shoulder tote or as an over shoulder sling (it's easy to switch between the two), and I have received compliments on it every day I wear it! Under that front flap, you can't see it in the pictures, but there are pockets to sort all of your things - pens, make-up, art supplies, etc. - including a large pocket where you can plop your wallet or the odd necessity. And I have had no problems with the magnetic closure flapping open, even on the subway. Inside, there is a mesh slot to keep either your water bottle or computer cords, and plenty of room for notebooks, novels, or whatever else you need. On the outside are two inconspicuous slots on either side of the bag where I keep a pen, small moleskin notebook, hand sanitizer, and subway card. If you get this bag, you won't regret it!
