Excellent shoes. Not sure why Keen went to a velcro strap but liked the old style better for my kids. They are easy to slip on anyway. The entire extended family wears Keens.

I\\\'ve bought these shoes for my now 6 year old son for the past three years. He has always found these to be crazy comfortable and I\\\'ve loved their durability and versatility. We have left the shoes outside to dry and forgotten about them for days in the hot sun and the colors never faded and the rubber remained pliable.\\r\\n However, these have always had a problem with retaining odors. Before when my son was just a toddler this wasn\\\'t such an issue. Now, the stink is almost unbearable! My son doesn\\\'t have this problem with any other shoes so I know it\\\'s not him. This last pair also leaves his toes coated with what looks like tar. I have tried cleaning them out with wipes, all-purpose cleaners, towels, and have thrown them into the washing machine several times and no matter what I try, the shoes leave stains on his toes and they are smelly. Not sure where the stains are coming from but it looks like we bought our last pair.

Love these shoes! I bought them for my son, we needed something with a protected, enclosed toe for Cub Scout camp and a whiteater rafting adventure. They were perfect. Sizing is a bit non-standard. Keens seem to run quite small and wide. We were fitted professionally and then made the Zappos purchase. (Mom always said 'never pay retail.') Zappos, as always, provided a great retail experience with selection, price and quick shipping.

A bit disappointing -
My 6 yr old son needs closed toe sandals for daycare and I've had a really hard time finding anything locally. He also has a tendency to destroy his shoes, so I want to make sure that whatever I buy will hold up. Last year, I bought a pair of the Newport H2s for myself and I love them, which is why I thought of these for him. Unfortunately, my son hated them. He found it nearly impossible to get them on. He pointed out the arch and said that it "goes up too far". He also found the strap around the back quite uncomfortable ,too. These shoes definitely run SMALL. In other shoes, he wears a 10.5-11. I ordered him a size 12 and by the looks of it, nothing smaller would have fit. I'm just relieved that he knew right away that they wouldn't work, so I was able to send them back.

I love Keens!! They go in water, mud, and sand. These are machine washable! Super easy for kids to put on and off themselves. My kids outgrew them before they can wear them out. High quality materials. Very comfy. Love, love, love them!

Very difficult to get on my son's feet. And the stiff material (unlike his other Keens) gave him a blister. Since he had worn them outside we are unable to return and had to buy him another pair of shoes that fit better. All his other Keens fit great - this seems to just be a bad fit for him.

I have a pair of keen sandals myself and thought these would be fantastic for my sons [5& 7 yrs] with all the climbing, etc., they do, which is hard in open toe sandals. My big shock is how sweaty they are. They were hardly worn when we had to retire them due to the smell! So disappointing. If your kids have zero sweat then go for them.

These sandals have been our favorites for three years in row. My son is almost 5 and he finds these super comfortable. They also look exactly like dad's so that makes them way cooler.

I loved these shoes when they arrived, but my 4 1/2 year old son always had a difficult time getting these shoes on, so much so that he'd refuse to wear them. Once on, he didn't complain. I will order the Newport H2 this time, and see how they fit my 4 1/2 year old. We will also try a pair for my two year old, and hope that they fit. We ordered him a pair of Newport's in size 5 last year, and they weren't wide enough.

I was so disappointed in these Danskos. I have several pair of their clogs and love them. These, however, are really stiff and uncomfortable. They also seem to run small. They're cute, which makes it even tougher to admit they don't feel good on my feet!!

Not for little kids -
I bought these shoes for my 3 year-old. They seem great, but they are impossible to put on. Make sure to buy the one with the strap.

Disappointing -
For as wide of a ball of the foot that Keen provides, there is no way to get my poor kid's chunky feet in. I was thoroughly disappointed with this shoe and am returning.

I immediately called your 24/7 hot line, and had one of the best customer service agents ever! Not only was she helpful in changing the shipping immediately, I also asked her to help me find similar boots in a different color, and she really tried her best to do so.
