Love the cushioning. Love the comfort. The 1063 is the fourth generation of this shoe that I have worn, and it keeps getting better. Ample cushioning for your longest training days, yet light enough for races. I have found the 2E to be nice and wide. This time I tried the 4E, and it has some massive width, but still lets me lace it up nice and snug.

Overall, I feel that this is a really good shoe, with just a couple minor issues. In terms of sizing, I found this shoe to be true to width, but the toe length felt a tiny bit shorter than the size indicated. The shoe tightened securely around my foot, without being too snug or binding in spots. There is minimal arch support, but the shoe felt reasonably comfortable while using the treadmill; like running on a cushion. I like the impact absorption; my shins weren\\\'t sore at all after jogging. The stock laces are a bit too long but the diamond-twist design held the knot securely, so the shoes didn\\\'t loosen at all during use, which is a big plus for me.

I bought these for walking 3 miles a day and I am very satisfied. The size was accurate, 10 1/2 Wide, and the fit and finish was excellent. They are a bit pricey but the quality is there and I expect to get a lot of miles out of them.

This is my 4th consecutive pair of New Balance sneakers. I'm a woman with a wide foot and find that the men's wide is more comfortable. This particular sneaker is my favorite so far in terms of style and comfort. I'm not a runner but wear these at the gym often and they have held up great. I have arthritis in one ankle and have much less fatigue after wearing these versus flip flops or slides during the day. Very supportive, well constructed and durable. They are also very airy so if you pop them on without socks to get the mail, you feel a breeze. Pretty nice.

I have run in both the 1061 and the 1062 New Balance running shoes. I ordered the 1063s with high hopes, but my optimism was quickly dashed away. The toe box is much too small and caused blisters on both big toes. The amount of cushioning is dismal at best. It would seem that once again, NB has not learned... if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I had the same experience with the 991s.

Great shoe -
Very comfortable for running or a variety of work outs. Nice cushiony ride but not too heavy. Good ventilation. Had been wearing the 801-810 all terrain series for years but a few years ago I had moved to mainly treadmill running and finally updated my shoe. These shoes feel SLIGHTLY larger than the size indicates, but not even a half size larger. I don't really have any issues with my feet so I can't comment on how they might be for high arches or anything like that. One downside is they are on the pricey side. I'm on my second pair and I imagine I will be using this series for the next 10 years.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: 874 and 812 for outdoor, non-pavement running.

Wow. Great for high arches/wide foot.
I just bought a pair of these, sized 10.5 4E. They are fantastic. I used to wear Brooks Defyance/Radius 11 2E. These New Balance roll smoother, and support the full width of my foot. I have problems finding shoes for my C-shaped footbed, but these are perfect.

For all of you that are a little bit on the plus+ size! (Such as myself) with bad knees I strongly suggest looking into these shoes they're GOOD. I've tried some other brands but I go back to NB!! They are great for the gym where I spend as much as 3 hrs x 5 days wkly (no I don't socialize there if you know what I mean)! As for ZAPPOS these guys are GREAT!!Service and next day arrival of shoes what more could I say!! But thank you :)

After trying out and comparing several running shoes, I tried out the New Balance 1063. Fits like a glove! Lots of heel support. Feels very natural. I run around 30 miles a week. Looks like I'll be using this pair often.

The right fit.
I have wide feet, and I understand running shoes should feel great out of the box. These 1063 (ordered in wide size) do fit out of the box, and offer a great ride.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: I've used it's predecessors, they are all great.

My feet seem addicted to New Balance. When I tried a pair of Sauconys recently, the shoe fit width-wise but was hopelessly too long. D-width New Balance run true to fit, if 1/2 size larger than my shoe size.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Any other New Balance if fit is your first priority.

 |  | I just want to thank you, and commend the customer service staff at Zappos. I just couldn't believe it when you actually kept me abreast of the certain pair of shoes I was looking for! Having a size 4- 1/2 foot, is very hard finding shoes. I could wear certain kinds of shoes such as boots, clogs, etc…but having to wear 3 heavy pairs of socks in order for them to fit! Well, they fit, but my feet kill me! Clogs such as the ones I purchased, seem to be more comfortable. I'm just hoping that they're not too big for me. I can’t wait to get them and see!
