I bought these sandals for my husband who is very picky about his footwear and does not replace until shoes/sandals are worn out! He loved these! I ordered a size smaller after reading other reviews and that was correct. He has narrow feet and these seemed to work well.

They rock! Wanted a solid, open-toed sandal with a strong heel strap. Still needed to be easy on, and these are. Highly recommended!

Great sandal, GB sizing. How can so many people not understand what they are buying? Yes, there is a sizing system other than the US. GB=US-1. With that said, I have had these sandals for a year and love them. I have a hard time believing they will last 4 years because the sole compound, which makes this a comfortable shoe, should wear more quickly than that. I love Clarks shoes!

Extremely comfortable shoes. Look great. I really like them. Seem durable, but time will tell. Sizing is an issue. I generally wear a 9-10 in Clarks. These I had to get in a size 8 to fit me right. They run very big. I don't wear an 8 in any other shoe.

These are very nice, comfortable sandals. My husband has a wide foot with a high arch, and it had been difficult to find a sandal with a good fit locally. These are perfect and stylish too. Excellent service from Zappos.

I bought this pair for my husband. It's very difficult to buy shoes for him because he has very wide feet, a high arch, and zero tolerance for discomfort. But we've had good experience with Clarks, and I figured I could return them at no cost anyway if they did not fit. Lo and behold, they were perfect at first try! Thanks again, Clarks!

My husband loves these sandals! They are so comfortable for him to wear all day. The style makes them a bit 'dressier' than normal sandals which is great. This is my husband's second pair. They do run a little big. He always wears a size 10, but we had to order a size 9.

I purchased the Clarks Merrimack sandal for a recent trip to Disney World and knew that I would be on my feet a lot, standing in lines, walking, etc...I had worn out my old sandals, which were Timberlands, but the reviews on the Clarks sandals were so positive I thought I would give them a try. I ordered them, received them the next day. I immediately started wearing them, no break in time was needed, and three days later was off to Florida. Not only did I make the right decision in purchasing these sandals, they are hardly ever off of my feet. They are one of the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn.

I like the sandals; however, they run huge! I normally wear a 9 or 9.5, but I have them in 8 and they still feel about a half size too large. If I was in a store I would have actually tried a 7. Don't know where they got their sizing for these. Again, I like the sandals, just have to experiment with the size.

I purchased these sandals after reading all the reviews. I usually wear a size 13 but I ordered a 12. They still are a little big, but they are very comfortable. Advise to all, make sure you get at least one size smaller than what you usually wear.

I have been buying Clark\'s Sandals for many years now. The fit, comfort and durability of these outstanding sandals are everything you want in a sandal, and they look GREAT!! My last pair, which I still have were bought in 2002, seven years!! Of which I wore those sandals almost every day. That\'s a lot of wear and tear from somebody like me. Now I use them for a spare when gardening, and getting dirty, and my new pair for getting out and looking good!

These run at least one size large. My husband wears a 14 in Nike and the 13 in this shoe was too large. He ended up with a 12. The only problem with these sandals is that when you tighten the strap you run out of velcro making it hard to get the fit needed. Otherwise a great shoe.

Wide foot with high instep - ordering second pair -
I just ordered my second pair of Merrimacks. My old ones are about four years old. I hadn't ever had sandals other than flip-flops because I am so hard to fit – 12 1/2 5E with a high instep. I bought my first pair at a store and have always loved them. Only problem with the old ones is that the soles are starting to separate. Being the cheapo that I am, I tried fixing them with Liquid Nail and furniture clamps. No luck. Very short break-in period. I live in Florida, so I wear them from March through October, and sometimes even longer. They're my favorite shoes! I can't go to Disney without them. Standing in line in any other shoe kills me. When I went to order today, I was startled to see that my old ones were an 11M. I was afraid that that was a European size, or something, and didn't know what to order. I ordered the 11M and the other reviews confirm that it is correct. They're worth the money. Or maybe even more.

Monk-like sandals with class, size 11D -
Not a sandal-wearer was surprised when this size 11D sandal fit well. My regular shoe size now (at age 77), 12 or 12.5EEE; used to be 10.5. I think the sandal straps are forgiving as well as flexible. So, my comment on size, below, is meant as a positive.
Now when I go to a Franciscan retreat house I will have appropriate and better-looking footwear than theirs!

Best ever -
I bought my first pair in 2004 before I traveled through Europe during a hot summer. I will be retiring them this summer 2008! Four years these shoes brought me comfort, durability, and style. I will be ordering my next pair tomorrow. Can't wait for them to arrive!

Comfortable - This is my 3rd pair. I wear them all the time. In particular I go to Thailand a few times a year and walk a lot. They are nice on the beach and in town. Good quality, you do get what you pay for!

Excellent sandals -
Well made and comfortable. I expect them to last for years. My only beef is sizing. I normally wear 8 1/2 or 9. Based on the comments I ordered down to 8. They were huge! So I returned them and ordered 7. Size seven works but just barely. The adjustment strap is tightened all the way to fit me and there's plenty of room. A 6 would probably fit better but 7 is OK and I needed sandals. Once you need to order down three sizes, you have to wonder if they paid any attention at all to standard sizing in manufacturing these sandals.

Second pair in 4 years -
Your feet settle right into the sandal and it forms to your feet. After a few days of wearing, they are a perfect fit. I wear them from April ‘til November. Only little problem is my outside of feet rub against strap.

This is more of a shoe than a sandal. Very comfortable, but I am worried about not much air circulating in the shoe and maybe a stinky sandal shortly...

Very nice sandal, although they seem a little large.
These are very nice sandals, but they seem a little large. They are very comfortable with little or no break-in time required.

I ordered these for my husband who had previously refused to even try on sandals. We were going to St. Lucia and everybody wears sandals there so he finally put them on. Well even though it was February (in Chicago) he wore them the rest of the day around the house because they were so comfortable---and every day while on vacation.
