Nice shoe, fits well and close to size stated. Was looking for a combo sandal and shoe, this fits the bill. Hope they keep making them.

I have been using these to wet wade while fishing in the Sierra Nevada. They are light enough to carry on my backpack and offer a good alternative to hiking boots in camp. They fit very snugly for the size and this helps keep sand and gravel out. My biggest issue with this type of shoe is that the insoles are not going to last as long, as the shoes as they seem very fragile. Generally, I'm very pleased with the shoe. NB shoes come through again!

I got a lot of props for rocking these. I bought the orange/black pair. Don't look for much in terms of arch support. This is a water shoe. Nothing more, nothing less. But a good water shoe it is. Funnels out water easily and effectively. It does trap sand due to it's mesh exterior, but that washed off easy. Great road traction, too! I'd recommend these based on its purpose/function. And Zappos service? A+ all the way!

I like these shoes. I needed a sneaker that would not turn my foot into a hot coal. Tennis shoes always make my feet real hot when I am at work and that is really uncomfortable. I saw these with all the air holes in them for letting out water. Well, I didn't need that feature, but I thought the shoe might let the heat out as well. They are the coolest modern athletic shoe I have owned. They have a plastic corrugated insole insert that wasn't uncomfortable, but I replaced them with a Dr Scholl insert that had some cloth.The sizing in my opinion runs 1/2 size small. I have never owned an 11 before even in New Balance shoes. The 10.5s were too small. My feet can bear the 8 to 10 hours at work now, though my feet still get warm on occasion, but I find that correlates with the stress level and the temp. They are worth a try if your feet blaze out in modern athletic shoes.

These shoes are awesome. I have purchased many pairs of them. Due to their great fit and superb comfort, I have a hard time putting anything else on my feet. The downside is that they tend to wear quickly (which is another reason why I have purchased many pairs). But it is worth it for the comfort. They are really kind to my feet.

A nice breathable shoe where a sandal or flip flop won't do. Play on words, nice shoe to throw on for casual wear.

New Balance makes great shoes and this shoe is made really well. I think the width is a little small but maybe it was designed that way. I went white water rafting and when all the other shoes were coming off after they got wet the SM820 stayed on and were very comfortable all day.

These are great shoes, I saw the review in outdoor magazine, and I had to give it a shot. They are so comfortable out of the box, and easy to use. I bought them for my trip to Europe this summer; I wore them on the flight and streets almost everyday. Two complaints that I have: One was the heels rubbing my ankle. I didn't wear socks, and after my first day of walking they were very red and bled a little. Next day I just wore them as sandals, after a few weeks they feel much better now. The other complaint is the color choices, the red and orange look like power rangers, so I ended up with grey. I wish NB will make these in green or khaki, a more earthy, outdoor type color. Overall I like them...a lot.

I just spent a week at the Colorado River in these shoes. I was in and out of the water much of the time and really liked them. They were light and comfortable, much like a sandal, but still had full protection, like a shoe. They drained water well and while they do get sand and gravel in them on occasion, it wasn't excessive and was easy to rinse out and put back on. I was able to swim, watercraft, kayak and hike around in them with ease and they did a great job. Only complaint: I would prefer there not be the large circular openings on top, which made for some interesting tan lines on my feet. Overall: I loved them and would recommend them.

Sized about a 1/2 size too small. Front part of cushioned insert slips back when taking them off. Might have to break out the Gorilla glue for that, but otherwise, I love them.

Got these shoes for my husband. He has a wide foot and is very hard to fit. These shoes fit great. He wears them almost every day. Has also received may compliments on the way they look.

Took these to Dunns River Falls in Jamaica. Climbed the falls. Awesome shoe for the job. Ended up wearing them for all sorts of other things...left the sandals behind. Great grip and received many positive comments on them. Great style and oh so good at letting the water flow through. Used them as running shoes with no socks and they didn't even mark my feet. Unlike ordinary water shoes, these did not scorch your feet when walking on hot pavement. Great support.

Vacation shoes -
I would of love to keep them but back trim above the heel cuts right in to my ligament and cause so much pain. On the other hand if it were not there shoe would slip off. I tried ordering half size bigger shoes but it felt the same. May be elevating the heel like putting an extra insole would help but I did not want to deal with it. My husband keeping his pair of same shoes for our travel. But mine are back.

A genuine hybrid type shoe -
Shoe is a cross between an athletic shoe and a sandal. Extremely comfortable... I have been wearing them since I got them and have had several people say they like the looks of them and ask, "Are they as comfortable as they look?" I say, "They sure are!" Zappos’ service is outstanding... they expedited my shipment at no additional cost to me. Much appreciated.

 |  | Zappos rocks, you so made my nine year old son’s day. We went looking for new DC shoes last Sunday and spent 3 hours only to find out that his shoe size was 6.5 right between boy’s and men's. The stores had no selection in either. We were told by one salesperson that most boys skip that size so they don't carry many. He was very disappointed, I suggested ordering from you guys that night and he didn't want to wait for shipping. I told him Zappos was quick, but he wanted to try stores again, so we did on Tuesday evening and came home empty handed again. We got online, ordered a pair he liked (there were so many to chose from in the size we needed) at 9:30 that night. Of course he was all about when would they be here, again I told him how quick you are at shipping and that probably Thursday at the latest Friday. He came home from school on Wednesday and they were on the front porch. He was so happy!!! Loved the shoes and can't wait to order another pair. I have told other people how fast they got here and no one believes that is even possible. I don't know how you do it, but thanks so much. You're the best.
